yeah i think it came about at a special time where the conditions allowed it to grow in a way that i doubt will happen again... music production software allowed anyone to get involved & pirate radio was at it's peak, before the internet deaded it started off entirely uncommercial & all about the music its influence is definitely under appreciated atm, but i reckon there will be a resurgence in the future
