  1. And I dunno why people are like one or the other, cop both! They're gonna have solid fanbases for time to come, plenty of playability. Dope vid btw. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWnbElxqCHM Just about to unlock it, unlocked the .44 Magnum...been dominating still.
  2. I wouldn't say that. Getting good at COD has a lot to do with knowing the map inside out. Knowing the traffic patterns, the popular routes (especially in SnD) and positioning yourself in a advantageous position. Getting the upper-hand via positioning is the main thing since player health is so low. I do know where your coming from though, the game is extremely friendly to new players. You could get the game on release, and play a good amount of time, get pretty good yet get out gunned by a player who bought the game 2 hours ago. That would never ever happen in a game like Streetfighter or Halo. BF3 is a much more tactical, thoughtful game. If you're a proper first person shooter player, you'll thrive. If you expect arcade gameplay, you'll become a number in somebody's killstreak. People in Battlefield actually understand concepts such as 'cutting the pie', flanking, etc. When I played Bad Company 2 I really liked the fact that people co-ordinate. That is not to say everyone co-ordinates, but inter-squad co-ordination is something you don't really get in CoD. There's been plenty of times where I've popped up as an MVP Player or been in the Ace Squad. A shitty team can be pulled through by a good squad or two, which is the nice thing about it. I don't play for kill/death ratios, I prefer having an objective to play towards. Been capping bare M-Coms in BF3, usually 3 in a game if I play. Smoke grenades are the fucking one, I'm telling you. Pop, pop, pop, squad runs into the smoke, pop, plant, pop. Same way for defense, M320 Smoke >>>> Not a big fan of the lack of destructible scenery, hope there's a bit more to be seen in the full release. Medic you should still cop bro, fuck you bredrins, they'll pick it up eventually. Shame it's only 24 players, really affects the pace of things. 64 player PC is gonna dominate though!
  3. lol Never knew Global was so known out the ends. Extortionate prices. Trust. I had never heard of Footlocker before about year 9. We had an extortionate Westworld Leather that sold '110s' for about 2 bills, dunno if you know about them - think it's franchised out. Man used to travel all over to go to Footlocker, Milton Keynes, all sorts. It's kinda like London man JUST discovering Bicester Village...except you man are free to goon out the ting in Bicester without worrying about the locals robbing you. For a hot minute it was Oxford man's little secret..
  4. Nah man, I don't slip. I'm from 'country' but have been able to go all over the country in my 25 years happily. Been all over, usually drive up to London to rave now, but got the train/coach plenty of times and reached dances all over. Elephant and Castle, Bricky, Vauxhall, Junction etc etc. Been to Chapeltown in Leeds, St Pauls in Bristol, Moss Side in Manny - copped some Jamaican food around the corner from Gooch Close, casual tings. I remember when man from Oxford used to go up to London in the early '00s to cop TNs, TN hats, records etc. That basically means reaching Global Sports in Shepherd's Bush or Oxford Street. Never had any problems on Oxford Street, used to roll up with couple like-minded man when man to go check Blackmarket Records down D'arblay Street, roll round to Footlocker, maybe go Niketown. Calm. One of my bredrins, he's white, went up to Shepherd's Bush with this mixed race guy from the 'sticks' - a gully guy nonetheless, but he is from the sticks of Oxfordshire. These man roll up to Global and get the standard 'where you from' line or whatever, next minute its patdowns, grade gone, phones gone, 'Shire Mandem 0, City Mandem 1. Think this has happened to a couple more man from my ends than would like to admit, but never me and apart from that incident, never mine. Guys used to get robbed all the time in Oxford. There was a single phoneshop in the ends at the time that used to be the drop off point for all the stolen phones, and ten years later the guy who runs that shop has caked nicely. Dunno about this kebab/chicken shop ting or the bookies for drop offs. Most of my mandem were mischievous, I know people who'd roll up to posh house parties and raise a laptop or a bike, couple of them used to rob more often and one of my close bredrins is currently doing an 11 stretch for street robberies in Bath. Second time he got birded for robbery, and the worst thing is man around him used to be on the same tip but fixed up. I kinda feel like you get past the age of being robbed, but it's not necessarily true. Certain mad guys will just do robberies for the rush and the power and if they don't get it, then you get it - no matter your age. I will still roll in any so-called 'hood' and be myself. More time when people get robbed they do something that attracts a robber to them. They might look twice, might cross the road, or just have that 'shook look' about them. I don't exude that p*ssy shit, I was raised by a strong Jamaican father who don't take. I accept that if I grew up in London it might have been different, but whatever. I don't make myself a target either, I'm not boasty.
  5. Was watching him playing this for a couple days now. I like the way you can just hop over barriers and get to objectives, but like someone already said the camping was ridiculous. The dude he was playing with, DRJ, was having a rage fit about it. The games were really slow paced, although maybe thats what Battlefield is meant to be. The games are pretty slow paced on console. I remember upgrading my PC to play the last Battlefield...copped a joystick for the flying etc. Let me assure everyone that the PC is the way to play this game. Now you can use an Xbox/PS3 controller with your PC, there's no excuse. Battlefield 2 on PC was ill, and I'll definitely cop BF3. Saying that, camping is to be expected. I've camped a bit as a 'hang back defender' - down in the far right crater tunnel part that leads from the first two objectives to the underground objectives. I dropped an ammo crate - as you'd do, got prone - as you'd do, put my M249 on the tripod - as you'd do and dominated my area - as you'd do. That was until I realized mandem had gotten shook of dropping into my area and had slipped around the two other entrances, bombed both sites and pushed up. I then proceeded to run up the tracks, murder man on the platform, murder man on the escalators, murder man on top of the escalator, get a Squad Wipe Ribbon, inspire my pussyhole team to back the ting and reestablished a defensive perimeter in the attacking spawn site. Defenders should camp, standardly. Attackers camping, unless they're camping while waiting for squad spawns, or under extreme pressure, is a p*ssy move. Back the ting, nuh. When I attack I push up solo and try to be the leading 'life'. This level favours the defenders in the second and third set of objectives IMO. First set is a free-for-all, best team wins it. Last set of objectives is an attackers if the defense do not defend offensively, if that makes sense. Hang tight the VIP2 dons who are on this ting. The new CQB elements in this are a nice change and definitely make the game feel tighter on console. There is only three four-man squads on each team as opposed to eight on the PC, but squad spawning helps. Will definitely keep COD players interested. It's a more intense experience with the flashlights/laser sights, especially this metro level. I just wish they'd make it 32 player on console though. I get it's a trade off, but still.
  6. I got the beta. Game's deep, but laggy at the minute.
  7. Read 'Dispatches' by Michael Herr. He was an embedded journalist in Vietnam, he wrote his book a few years after based on notes he took and things he remembered.
  8. Doubt it. His career blossomed late. He's gonna make P. I just hope he takes the right roles and doesn't become a Noel Clarke cameo monkey like half of the other British actors...who have also tried to make music - i.e. Snakeyman and Gus from EastEnders. Peak.
  9. That tune doesn't seem in time to me.
  10. It's true. I take it hardly anyone was writing bars back in the day. Punchlines are minor.
  11. Views are fake. Charlie Sloth did the same thing with Worldstarhiphop and blew up in a big way. Nobody clocked on...much.
  12. Stigz ain't Tupac on any level.
  13. Considering that Rico got shift for 32 years, I'd imagine Butch's choice was something to do with that. Either he was involved and got lucky or something, but he's definitely seen sense.. Tempman is Christian??
  14. Hopefully it'll deter other kids from doing it. G-Money got Abso'd, I think it may have been dropped now though. Killa Ki next please. That guy is actually loose. Big up Boost, Butch and Blacks for going Christian and allowing the dead beefing. older boost or t.boost? Boost from Bricky.

  16. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNfeTsi3XjU& Much more positive. He should have done this earlier. Edit - My man has zero social skills when it comes to talking to normal people. It's a shame, my man should have tried harder in school. Hope he grows up a bit.
  17. He's 18, chills with hoodrats from Pecknarm and spends most of his time focussing on greaze and zoning out. Honestly, what are the chances he's got the P or intelligence to even think about that sh*t?
  18. Really and truly it's his fault. Keeping it real went badly wrong for my man, and he should have known better. He's projecting his gang image in audio, and visually. Stigz ain't exactly Nas. He doesn't rap about it from a 'From my project window' type way, he isn't a fly on the wall. If he's stood next to Big Chess in a bally, then what does he expect? In his mind he is probably only trying to be scary for the guys he has problems with, I fully understand that - but really and truly he has to realize that the internet is a big place. Normal people from Peckham don't want to see that sh*t when they walk past, or when they're on Youtube. Stigz is a gully yout' from what he says in his tracks, but he should put out a more positive message. The first bit is peak, but I'd bet money that out of the 20-30 man I've seen around Stigz, only a couple are his close people - so rolling two man up isn't really a problem. It's not really a harsh sentence to be honest, we'd be in a police state fully if he got shift. He ain't all that lyrically anyway  Cash >>>
