I read this morning this wasn’t the first time she’s tried to take her own life, so this was probably the straw that broke the camel’s back. I wonder though, can someone be prosecuted for encouraging someone to commit suicide online if their victim ends up doing so? This could set a new precedent.

So what if he’s 16? This is the problem. He’s 16 yet he murdered a man. He’s 16 but he was robbing people. Just getting over being born? Are you serious? Meanwhile, his victims have a life sentence with the loss of a life, as well those who were robbed by him and his brood. Someone said what good will it do naming him? What good will it do protecting him? The reason why waste men like him continue to reoffend because there’s no deterrent. They know they’ll do a short stretch, have their identities concealed and continue living a life of dust. I don’t think every crime warrants being named and shamed but in the case of murder, why should he be protected because he’s a few years shy of being an adult? But hey, just throw out the “daily mail” reader rhetoric because I don’t subscribe to the whole “he’s a product of his environment” story.

I misread it still. He commited these crimes around/before the same period he murdered that man in the car. He’s just vermin. No use to society at all. They should really lift the law on naming and shaming these scumbags just because they’re under 18. I know people will say it will hinder their rehabilitation back into society but wouldn’t you want to know if a murderer was released?

Knife-wielding teenage moped gang jailed for 13 years for using stolen scooters to rob Londoners A gang of four teenagers have been jailed for a total of 13 years after a series of moped-enabled robberies in London. During the four-week trial, Inner London Crown Court heard how the teens, as young as 15, robbed members of the public of phones, wallets, handbags and laptops using violent threats. The gang even used knives on certain occasions to intimidate their victims, and stole six mopeds which they used in their robberies, four of which were taken from the owners by force. A 15-year-old gang member was sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison at the court on Thursday (November 30) and a 16-year-old boy who was already serving a six-year prison sentence was given an additional three-and-a-half years in prison. Another 16-year-old was given a four-year sentence. The youths cannot be named for legal reasons. Sitey Mairuf, 19, of Colliers Water Lane, Thornton Heath was jailed for two-and-a-half years.
