Nah barca did it and United were only 1 game way from doing it and we're resting players iin the league to focus on the CL. Champions league is just a cup at the end of the day. Big teams don't need to be going all out until the quarters and even then they are potentially 3 wins from the title. Still feel being the best in your country proves more than being the best in europe.

okay read it wrong and still the answers No. why would it be impossible? okay you said premier league but why strictly that league cause of the extra games? The spanish league is also a gruelling league. Any team good enough to be leading the premiership is easily good enough to win champions league as like i said from the quarters you just need to not concede at home twice to have a good chance of reaching the final. A whole host of teams can win the champions league - its not that hard all 4 big english teams have come within 2 games of winning it. United had a good chance to do it last year and have a good chance this year.

Barca won la liga and the CL, la liga being just as hard as the prem.I think a top team could do it if they stay injury free.Man utd went into the semis with milan with a sh*t back four due to injurys. If a top team can stay injury free then i think its possible.Il be accpecting united to challenge both with a real real threat next season.

last season if we rested our players like liverpool we would of beat milan and got to the final however if we rested players we wouldnt of won the leaguelosing games to everton and city without our big players.you see how it works there?

MaybeThe only teams that i think could do it in the prem are man u and chelseaMan U and Chelsea are too consistent throughout the season so I can't see either of them creating a big enough gap to be able to win the league and rest players for the champions league. (e.g. porto when they won the league and cl with jose) But then again if Chelsea drop points during african nations and some players pick up injuries who knows. You need 4 strikers that can all play with each other in various partenership combinations (that last bit sounded mad but stay with me), stay in form for most of the season, score goals in all comps, come of the bench and score goals etc (e.g. cole, yorke, sheringham, solksjaer during the treble season). Don't think Man U have this at the moment, maybe chelsea have this with drogba, shevchenko, kalou and pizzaro but we'll have to wait till next season to find out.Need to have most of your squad (the 1st team at least) fit for most of season and thats not easy cause as we saw last season anything can happen (e.g. chelsea losing both keepers and terry/ man u losing saha and most of the defence towards the end)Might have to play reserves for the entire carling and even fa cup if you really wanna win the prem and cl.Maybe it's impossible but if Man U sign a big striker and keep rossi it's worth putting a bet on either man u or chelsea winning both cups next season.

Not impossible. It is all really dependant on your squad, staying injury free is the key and with chelsea possessing such a large squad they do stand the best chance of achieving this and should really have done so already.Liverpool are exceptional in the champs league and with recent signing(s) they may also come close to achieving this.
