Gambino
Im on AOL myself not happy with them though. Been on AOL Gold 2mb broadband for ages, they emailed me like a year ago when their price plans were changing telling me i was gonna be upgraded to 4mb. AOL Gold £20 a month, Silver 2mb £14 a month. So ive been waitin a year still on 2mb i went and asked them and they try telling me ive been on 4mb for time, i disagreed said id done various speed tests which show im not, The technical staff said "ohhhh yea as it happens uve just been upgraded as of today". f*ckin liars. Asked them to refund me the extra cost they said no because it may be due to my phoneline or distance from the exchange. Plus they tell me they are not compatible with PS3 yet??? Blackstock
with AOL when we've had problems we get nowhere on the phone, its ridiculous. They try fob me off with some online instnt mssnger help. instead of talkin to a real person. Gambino
Ive never had much problems with the service really apart from them chatting sh*t. I was gettin disconnected alot recently when downloading files or watchin videos online but i found some text on a forum to put in the command box that seemed to fix it. Blackstock
I had that problem aswell, I would jus be surfing then net then I would hear [connie]GOODBYE![/conniee], jus like that and it would disconnect me. It was happening all the time, an I couldnt seem to stay connected for longer then 15 minutes.
Gambino
You still gettin the problem?
Blackstock
Nah its not happening no more fortunately, cant remeber what we done tbh, stopped using it for a while, n we got a new modem thing. And I know I aint on them good speeds that everyone else seems to be on. If knew more about it, then I would do something. But im content, as I dont download nuff nuff like, but still I have a feeling should be gettin better for the money. Gambino
Yea AOL has gone downhill man, sure the UK one got sold to another company aswell. BE* Broadband is rated very good and £14 a month for 8mb Unlimited sounds too good.

Swiftie
From when AOL sold out to TALK TALK. You knew you was in the shits.N e ways, I dun know what problems you gettin with ur PS3 but I cant see how thats provider specific.Anyways, for home internet. BE, UK Online, SKY not to name maybe a few others..But them 3 will probably be the best out there for home usage for a various amount of reasons. Gambino
Suppose you need a router to get your PS3 going and ive heard others say they use the PS3 with AOL, Yet when i spoke to them and on their site they say they are not compatible with it so ive not got a clue. Gonna ring them and get a MAC Code, switch providers.
DisGustO
Ever since Wanadoo changed over to Orange broadband the service has been so swag. I cant stay online for more than half an hour without getting disconnected, plus I'm still using some old modem they sent me when I was on 1mb. They wont send out a newer one for some reason I cant remember now.I cant even be bothered to chase them up, I'm just gonna get my MAC code and get that Sky package. Everyone I've spoken to so far is sayin Sky broadband is decent aswell.

Gonna ring them and get a MAC Code, switch providers.AOL are the famous "If we dont sell it we don't support it" so they will always say that with regards to anything.Remember when I 1st set up a router on AOL back in the days when their support team didnt know squat on routers.I even remember when I set up a AOL account using just the AOL USB modem DUN connection and not needin to install the AOL software. But easiest thing is get your MAC and start the transferin. If you do live quite far from the exchance though. Be prepared to get slow speeds regardless of provider on ADSL.

A stable connection is better than 1 that goes dwn when not expected.
