But yea been using my HDMI cable for months now and the picture difference was amazing. It turned PRO EVO from a PS2 looking game to PS3. O.Man Posted January 19, 2008 Report Share Posted January 19, 2008 can't notice the difference between RGB and HDMI unless u are viewing in 40 inchs plus, 720 and 1080 look the same on smaller tvs. but between hd and analog there is quite a bit of difference clarity wise, vividness and sharpness. Bacardi_Up Posted January 20, 2008 Report Share Posted January 20, 2008 It doesn't make a great deal of difference but HDMI is better.The premium is not HDMI and the elite is because there are industry regulations as the elite comes with a hd-dvd player and therefore must have hdmi connectivity/full compatibility.The same applies with the ps3 for the same reason because it has a blueray player.The difference between HDMI and VGA or component is that HDMI is digital and therefore can carry more information between the xbox/ps3 and the tv. Therefore picture quality is better.However sticking a hdmi cable into your xbox premium to your tv wont really make a difference because the premium has an anologue not a digital video output.
