That was the problem. They didnt know the area, or much about the opposition, which is a MASSIVE disadvantag in war. But if anyone could overturn such a deficit, America could, if they WANTED. But due to political pressure, mostly domestic, they didnt feel they could/needed to. Just lkove seeing America get OWNED.
