YesThe law should not be about revenge, it should be about the best way to protect the rest of society. As soon as it becomes pergatory, and not reformatory (which it has done) something is wrong. Good point but this not always provide sufficient justceAnd the thing you have to understand about prinsons/the prison system is, they make the government money, so sometims it is more convinient to have people constantly in & out of prison, then to have them locked up for many years..anyway back to the issue.People should be made to to help in someway as punishment IMO, get all the prisoners and force them to work & build a school or something.
