Mohamed Sissoko is keen for Juventus to agree a deal with Liverpool as the midfielder 'wants a new challenge'.Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri has admitted his admiration for Sissoko after working with the Malian at Valencia. The 22-year-old has been a long-term target for Juventus and has grown frustrated due to his lack of first-team football this season. He has started just six games in the Premier League and admits he is willing to move to Serie A, if the two clubs reach an agreement.Happy"It isn't done yet, but my agent is in advanced discussions with the club," Sissoko told French radio station RMC."I hope they will reach an agreement, but I'm very happy a club like that wants me to come."I want a new challenge. The last few months at Liverpool haven't gone as I would have wished."But that's football, and now I want to move on to a new stage of my life and flourish on the pitch."
You know what, a league where he gets alot more time on the ball may seriously help him.

Elkann expects Sissoko swoop Thursday 10 January, 2008 Channel 4Juventus shareholder John Elkann is confident that the Old Lady will complete the signing of Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko. The Cadetti champions are looking to replace disappointing summer arrivals Tiago Mendes and Sergio Almiron and Sissoko seems to have his heart set on relocating to Turin.âWe will strengthen,â Elkann insisted. âJuve are having a good championship and are aiming at securing a place in Europe next term.âIf we are to compete on that stage we will need to reinforce the squad, but it is difficult to say who we will bring in with any certainty.âSissoko certainly could be the first element. But we tend towards the school of thought that you should never assume anything when it comes to buying and selling.âIt is believed that Juve will pay around £7m for the Mali international who was set for a switch to the Stadio Olimpico last summer but a £10m price tag derailed the deal.

Ill stand by SissokoLiverpool fans loved him at 1st, then he started getting inj and rotated and has neva been then same.On his day he is awesome, not the most talented player but still a good man to have in the middle. Spurs should be looking to do business imo...
Id like to point out that at no time did I thinkk he was any good, even before his injury. I will admit that I think he played very well in select games but ultmately a defensive midfielder that cant find the player next to him with a pass is poor. They say you need an anchor man in the middle of the park and Momo is just that. Dead weight!

Rafa Benitez has confirmed Momo Sissoko could leave Liverpool in the January transfer window. The Spanish coach revealed two or three clubs were keen on signing the Mali international. Benitez said: "I was talking with Momo about leaving a few times, and with his agent. We know we have two or three clubs asking about him and we will try to find the best solution for him and for us. "It depends on if we find the right club and the right offer. We need to wait. "In a top side the competition is always really hard. We've brought in Lucas and with Gerrard playing in the middle this year, plus Alonso and Mascherano, he is under pressure. "But he wants to play every game. We will try to find a solution for him because he is a nice boy." Liverpool today completed the signing of Slovak defender Martin Skrtel, who Benitez revealed could well be the only addition this month. The Liverpool boss said: "We are happy with the squad. We needed another centre-back but in the other positions we have enough players." On the ongoing speculation regarding Javier Mascherano's future, Benitez added: "We will continue to keep working and we are confident he will stay with us."
Taken from Lfc.tv.Looks more that likely Momo will be off.Benitez cant see that we still need a winger I was hoping that the Americans were going to give him some more money to spend.
