I see that article talkin bout upgrading the os and all sorts, as if its mandatory, talkin about 8 year old macs still runing osx, as if someone keeps a computer for 8 years!?! The windows OS cycle is longer than the average pc lifetime (unless we're counting Windows ME --> Windows XP)
