Gambino Posted February 2, 2008 Report Share Posted February 2, 2008 Can't wait for the new Olympics game to drop during summer, online aswell thats gonna be cold. 35 events it has, Low the football and that on it though kinda pointless.On the strength of its super successful 2007 release, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games(with Nintendo), Sega has bagged the rights to publish official video game of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The game is titled Beijing 2008 and it will feature real people against the mascot characters. Beijing 2008, an enormous compilation of sports titles from the summer Olympics will offer 35 events, where gamers will be able to compete with each other online, the authentic recreation of the venues will range from the Beijing National Stadium to the National Aquatics Centre. The game will come to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC platforms.The game will dynamically be featuring full online multiplayers, allowing the player from any part of the world not only to compare high scores with others but compete directly against people from all over the world as well. Though, critics have never really appreciated video games on athletics and track and shoot events, but it seems Sega will try its best to make look these games authentic, it is emphasizing on a unique and groundbreaking control system that will hopefully set a new standard for sports games in this genre.
