Dubstep/JazzstepGrime/UKHHBashment/Dancehall/Ragga Etc...Hip-Hop (Mostly Revolutionary)Drum & Bass
ok for those of us who havent been listening to hip hop that much recently/aint up to speed with this revolutionary thing...wot is the different between revolutionary hip hop n "normal" hip hop. biggrin.gif (no homes)
Souljah BoyLil JohnMimsetc = RAP. (or what these guys say normal hip hop)Wu TangTalib KweliNasLupe FiascoCommon SenseClipseetc = Hip Hop.I added Clipse and Lupe because they are a modern example of what Hip Hop is about, if you just list early nineties rappers people will think you mean old school Hip Hop.
seen so the meaningful hip hop.ye thats what i mean by hip hop when i put it down. Rap to me is like D block, lil wayne, young jeezy, etcin both senses the underground stuff is what im talkin about...soulja boy, lil jon, mims, 50, even the game sometimes....all that to me is commerical hip hop/rap. that sh*t dont appeal to me much.all these sh*t/COMMERCIAL stars that come from dirty south are on the verge of making the whole dirty south thing commercial sh*t aswell. well to me its alredy mostly there now.and to me the crunk half of dirty south is the main reason for causing that.

Almost impossible to answer.
not reallyi actually want u to answer thisim intrigued....
Dunno whether your being sarcastic or not, but ill try and answer. Its EXTREMELY hard to answer man. If I had to name my top 10 artists ever, id say 3 may be hip hop artists, 3 may be jazz artists, 2 might be an r n b artist and 2 might be rock bands.Genres wise, impossible. In terms of artistic skill, id put hip hop at the bottom, but in terms of the actual sound, I might put it nearer the top. Not meaning to be extra, but liek I said, very hard to judge.

listen to pretty much anything,
Does ANYONE NOT listen to 'pretty much anything' these days?Seriously. Every single music related question produces the SAME answer. No offence LuLu, your just a sheep in the hurd. Im tryna find the shepherd in this bitch.
good point. alot of people come like sheep.i dont listen to commercial crap of most genres, maybe when they are new but after that their dead to me.commercial is one thing, but i could NEVER even attempt to hear any POP or anything like that, waaaay to mainstream for me lol. that IS the commercial genre.generally people overall follow the mainstream in a sheepish fashon, but its sumin i personally wont do. llow following the rest.

Read a Burial interview in the Guardian today.Deep deep guy, I need to check out his music.
if you got a link hit that up init.burial is a very talented guy, he puts A LOT of work into his music. a lot of people appreciate his uniqueness, those that dont like him probably think he is going off the mark.
Guardian Unlimited > Music > Urban > Scroll untill you see it is you.
