LMAO.Sick guy.
Just out of interest, what is good about what he did?
I thnk that MAYBE apart from obviously getting publicity for his album, he's trying to bring more attention to the way we treat and use the word nigger.Because the conservative way of looking at it, is getting boring and tedious.Constantly moaning, saying 'coon', ''it's taking us 100 years back'' is about as productive as the people who use it in the 1st place...
Not being rude or nothing but there are some people in these current time that dont like the way the old things were working so decide to go to the opposite extreme and think "yeah this is what we need to do. The old way wasnt working so this is the new sh*t" and lose all morals in doing so 'cause its the 21st century and radical is whats in. The major flaw in this is it comes across as forced and because you tried so hard to be different, you disregarded what was working before therefore, you lose in most casesThen there are others that see whats wrong, tweak it a little but still maintain the moral side of things therefore achieving better results at the end of the day because it still maintains the old way so the old people are still on board but in updating it you have brought new people on board without alienating anyone that was previously down with your movement.Obviously you have ones that dont have an opinion and just swing with the majority.Guess which one best describes you?In answer to your other question, I never use that dreadful word and as you know I correct those that use it to me
d*ckhead comment that wasn't needed.Bar that, I'd agree with most of what you said, but you always need 2 extremes and a steady median...It's ALWAYS been like that. The Civil Rights Era is testament to that...
Maybe it wasnt needed but I didnt want you to miss my point. All I'm saying is try to be a bit more like the second person and things will move smoothly. Nas is the 1st person in this scenario. The only way is 'cause of the 3rd people. Civil Rights movement from how I understand it wasnt as extreme. You had MLK saying we're Black, we want rights and we'll turn the cheek if a man abuses us and you had Mr X saying I'm Black but I'll box you back. Neither were saying "f*ck being Black we are all people. If the White man is treating us like this, then so be it"
No, I am neither nor will be ANY of those people you mentioned. I am the guy who recognises that even though the term has it's negative history and that in SOME instances, should never be used by ANYONE, I UNDERSTAND the manner in which it's being used nowadays and how it is different.I ain't trying to bring about change because there things with FAR more importance which need to be looked at rather than people catching feelings over Nas wearing a t-shirt with the word Nigger on it. You REALLY wanna bring about change, then do something about it. Don't moan, don't bitch. Do something. Simple. Let's not get into complications. Because the reason I rate Nas about this, is the fact that people are talking about it right now. There's a debate going somewhere RIGHT now discussing it. That's not to say there wasn't before but these types of debates have become more frequent since this whole started. Now, if Nas were to NOT get ANY sort of reaction, THEN it would've been dumb because it was all in vain...
Corr calm down, geez! I didnt mean it in a literal sense just how you supporting it was coming across. So no activist talk please?I see what your saying about the way people are discussing it, only thing was him being a d*ckhead in the process has kinda lost that 'cause the debate is mainly about him being a orick and atteion-seeker than the actual word. Like I said theres a way of doing these things. Look at the way Kanye did it about Katrina, those that agreed previously finally found a voice 'cause someone bigger than them said it and those that didnt see it before, saw it after. He got some backlash yes but you have to expect that, but that all ended when Gold Digger came out and was rocking the clubs. He sparked talk about the incident, arguably more than whether or not he should have said it. Nas has made himself look like a straight up punk 'cause, even if he's not it appears he's doing it for sales and a publicity stunt rather than caring. Thats the difference between what him and Kanye.f*ck Nas (unless he get his mojo back on this album 'cause all of us are fickle)

Anytime a person in the public eye does anything its labelled as a publicity stunt.Everyone knows Nas is never gonna shift 2 million copies of his album, he has a loyal fanbase that are likely to buy any album he puts out. He's trying to provoke discussion around the use of the word and what it means so the best way to do that on a mass scale is to utilise the media that gets the attention of most people. Do you think CNN would have been clambering to talk to him had he turned up wearing a plain black Tee? Obviously not so by doing that he got the opportunity to explain what issues he's addressing in his own words rather than it being interpreted by a journalist who lets the shock value over ride the underlying notion.

You're a doughnut if you believe Nas is doing this from the bottom of his heart for reasons other than shock value to generate more profit from album sales.Shame on you thick f*cks.
