Paul GascoigneThe former Newcastle, Spurs and Lazio midfielder was arrested at the Hilton Hotel in Gateshead last night and sectioned under the Mental Health Act.His family has told Sky sources that the former footballer called police himself and that the incident is "a cry for help".Sky correspondent Gerard Tubb said his family said the incident was "nothing to be particularly concerned about - it was a cry for help, effectively Paul Gascoigne turning himself in". A Northumbria Police spokesman said: "Police attended the Hilton Hotel in Gateshead yesterday evening after we received a report of concern for a 40-year-old man staying at the hotel."The man was detained under the Mental Health Act and no one was injured during the incident."
