i'd change the system and spend a lot of money on programmes to get cons into proper society, i swear sum ridiculous amount of the prison population consists of repeat offenders. I also thought, when u said PM u meant private message confused4.png

why are they saying theres no space for prison when they are building houses everywhereBUILD MORE PRISONS. send jamaicans back, fingerprint them, dna them ban them for life, then africans, then east europeans...thats 50% of the prison problem solved.build a massive oil rig prison in the north sea, send them food every month, leave them there. electricity for 1hour a day, one doctor two nurses on call once a week. no visitation, only letters once every 6 months.problem solved.

Building prisons doesn't do sh*t. The link between re-offending and drug use is the biggest problem with overcrowding. Also too many go into jail with no skills, sit around & come out the same. No skills = no hope of job = return to crime.1. Stop incarcerating addicts. Send them to rehabilitation centres. 2. Plough money into education programs & mandatory vocational training.3. Drastically expand the capacity to deal with prisoners' mental health problems4. Sentence nonviolent offenders who aren't a threat to society to tough community sentencesThe problem is this couldn't happen. The public wouldn't be prepared to pay for it, and it would be "soft on crime" rolleyes.gif Trying to do this as PM would get me crucified by the country, prompted by The Sun/Daily Mail/Telegraph/etc telling everyone I'm giving their granny's pension cheque to a crackhead from Stockwell named Kenny so he can buy a rock from Olatunji in the stairwell. Then giving gangbangers 3 weeks inside, then hugging them and telling them to be a good boy, before they go and leng down your uncle for his disability benefit.
