sub bass=sine wave
any synth in the world basically! although i was reading that using a sawtooth wave + low pass filter is sometimes better because a sawtooth is a super set of sine waves going up an octave everytime and therefore has harmonics meaning less quality speakers (ie car/hi-fi) can reproduce the sound better.

LOLcome on, all sub bass is is a waveform. check your init patch on subtractor and change it to the sine wave. same with any VST, its pretty much a factory preset, its what you do with it that makes the difference. If your asking for a "good" sub bass, make one......think about it, your the only person who knows what sound you want to achieve in your head...so its gunna be worth the time and effort to learn how to get your idea down and make a real sound out of it.Using a VST plugin preset's about as un creative as you can be.Experiment with EQ + Compressors....try layering a sub bass with another type of bass and mould the sounds together.....different FX and mixing techniques the only thing that seperates your sub bass from anyone elses....it all comes from the same tree.
