SAF needs to take his medicine in regards to the Pogba situation, His contract should never have entered into the final year without a new one being sorted, acting all butt hurt over it is laughable considering the way he came to United in the first place.

at least we had the opportunity to offer him a deal and contend the Juve move, Le harve weren't afforded the same chances.

wish the boy well, he needs to do whats best for him, whether that be him thinking he'll get more first team opps, a higher wage, or his agent fees's paid, or whatever else it might be,

fair play to him for getting the best deal for himself.

happy the situation done with. unhappy about the faux outrage and claims of disrespect, live by "tapping up players" die by "Tapping up players"

who remembers WWF back in the day after Stone cold beat HBK and vince tried to make him a corperate champion, decked out in suits and shoes,

the stone cold character had balls and so told Vince to stick it.

Fergie's been told to tow the party line and despite having enough stroke to do practically whatever he wanted (seeing as the Glazer business plan/model would've been seen as unfeasible without both Fergie and Gill involved) he chose to stick around and tow the corperate line. partially down to the fact that he was one of the factors to blame for the takeover anyway, A man i used to respect as pretty ballsy and a man of certain principles has been uncovered to be a man with none or very little and a man who is now a long way away from his shop steward, fight for the working man role he professes about.

its a damm shame.

SAF: "If we hold Paul Pogba back, what's going to happen? He's going to leave in a couple of years' time when his contract is finished."

.... I don't think the club handled it well at all. Not even gonna slate him for (finally) leaving. Enjoyed watching him play and wish him all the best

Its in Fergie's best interest to slate the boy after he's gone, anything else from him would call into question the way the club dealt with things,

find it interesting that this is the first time Fergie has spoke in anything less than glowing terms for the boy, before this it was all down to the agent, now its Pogba's fault,

heard a few things earlier in the season that Fergie wasn't to pleased with how the thing was being dealt with, Pogba came out and said if it wasn't for Fergie he would've left ages ago, i doubt the problem here is down to either pogba or fergie, but the agent and the board tried playing hardball and Juventus won,

doubt Fergie even believes what he was saying, or surely he wouldn't have consistently named the boy on the bench from january onwards, and given him minutes here and there. if the boy was showing no respect and had he signed for Juve ages ago, surely he should've/would've been frozen out and left in the reserves if that.

I can see Kagawa being the second coming of Park at Arsenal

Really think he'll struggle with the fitness of EPL

Be surprised if he plays 10 games in his first 3 months.

Won't start more than 5.

looool wait.....i wanna be very clear, who wont start more than 5

Is it just a coincidence that the destination of the number 7 shirt and Fergie's "interesting" comments about Pogba come just hours before the news of the float,

Sure they have a name for it in politics,

Good day to bury bad news or something like that.

Kagawa was offered the no.7 shirt but turned it down because...

"I've just joined the team and haven't accomplished anything yet," said Kagawa. "I want to make a name for myself [at United] on my own terms."

what owen should have said tbh

Nah, Owen is fine by me, never let me down in a United shirt.

Just wasn't given a fair opportunity.

My 1st reaction was to be critical of Kagawa but I actually respect his words.

I'm more pissed the 7 shirt isn't really going to a flair player AGAIN but totally respect the fact he doesn't want that sort of pressure coming to a new country, it's humble.

His loss at the end of the day and im not talking about fergie

Its easy to see whos at fault here .

Only time will tell if it's his loss or not tbh, Could go either way, in our life times we have been almost conditioned to think this way due to success we've had, but who's to say if that type of success can be repeated.

This United are better than everyone talk that we have been fed by the suits is a marketing ploy designed in order to boost the world wide fanbase, we all know this is just not true.

When Fergie leaves we'll be in a interesting state of "sort of limbo" where a lot of different things could happen.

Interestingly here's a snippet of David Conn's article on the float and the document that goes with it.

As required by Stock Exchange regulations, the document also sets out risk factors which investors should take into account before buying shares. These feature generalised warnings about maintaining football's popularity and crowds at Old Trafford holding up despite the recession. There is, however, a formal warning that United's debts, wholly imposed by the Glazers' original takeover, "could adversely affect our financial health and competitive position".

The issue of contract renewals is something he gets say over, but LOL at thinking man can walk in to the boardroom when he wants and say, "renew Pogba's contract now" and it gets done,

Contract renewals are decided when everyone is in agreement, lol at thinking if left to his own devices and if it was possible Fergie wouldn't have tied the boy up season before last.

The Glazer's didn't get rich from not being prudent, at the end if the day they could care less if Pogba stayed or left, but would note that giving him a series contract could backfireif he goes the way of Possebon I.e injuries stunt him, or if he can't make the breakthrough,

The only players they business about are the ones that make a positive impact on the balance sheet due to their ability to single handedly sell merchandise,

i dont blame pogba for asking for £20k+.

and i think alex has the only say when it comes to contracts for reserve players, and thats wat poga was, even tho he was on the bench for a few games.

rooney started all this anyway, since the club backed down to rooney, other players think" uno wat,let me try"
