I think this song and video is trying to make us see our miserable way to be, the way we are trapped in our emptiness, our bored day-after-day and how people, seeking someone worse than themselves, see us so sad and mediocre. Knowing that there's someone worse then them makes them feel momentarily better.I think if Leno sang, he would sing Daniel Johnston's 'Story of An Artist'
