“I think Theo Walcott has got the raw potential to be a helluva player,” he said.“In a less glamorous position, I think that Joe Hart of Manchester City will be an international goalkeeper for many years. I hope Gabby Agbonlahor will keep improving and arrive on the England scene.“I saw an extremely good centre-forward at Hartlepool playing for the England U18s. He’s a lad called Daniel Welbeck who plays for Manchester United and he looks as though he could come on the scene as well. Victor Moses, maybe, from Crystal Palace.
Pissed Welbeck didnt get a chance against West Ham or Wigan but thats the teams fault for not beating Middlesborough and Blackburn...Hopefullly he will go out on loan next season to a premiership team and get loads of games and experience...Our youngers >>>>>Would love Agbonlahor and Young @ OT aswel..

The thing is though we have lots of sick young players but most end up being f*cked over by there clubs or getting caught up with all the money they earn..Ramage and Taylor for example both linked with Top4 clubs last year now look at them...Richards, Welbeck, Campbell, Hart, Foster, Young, Agbonlahor, Huddlestone, Walcott, Wheater, Cattermole, M.Johnson, Davies + others ive probably forgotten are the future imo if they keep there heads down and put the work in...

only young english player that looks an international prospect is huddlestone imonot sure about walcott's mentality, i know hes young but others have shown a better mentality younger still
Out of all the youngsters mentioned, he's the one who will get the most opportunity...

Lol at Huddlestone ahead of Theo.
Lol at thinking Wally is a better footballer than Huddlestone.I saw him at the weekend again TF, running out of play with the ball, falling into the side boardings, the ball getting tangled in his feet, him running away too fast and leaving the ball behind etc. etc.Actually just lol @ theodore....

Of course Huddlestone has a better chance making it then Theo...Theo doesnt even play his preferred posistion yet ffs...Hows he gonna start on the right for Arsenal and be Englands striker...?Huddlestone is only gonna battle wid Hargreaves and Carrick(who capello doesnt seem interested in)Huddlestones passing >>>>>Cant say the same for Walcotts finishing atm...

people love to put walcott down. I seriously hope he becomes a sickeningly good striker in the future a few people would feel stupid he gets ridiculous amounts of criticism for his age you would think he was 24-25 and has been consistently sh*t for arsenal for a good few seasons. He's what 19, playing out of position, in and out of the side, EBOUE playing ahead of him at times. He seriously cant win tbh, how can u judge a striker as a striker when they are playing on the wing it doesnt make sense. I can see why people criticise him at times but i do think some do it as its 'the thing to do'. If he turns out sh*t fair enough but no need for so much criticism right now.

do you lot really think walcotts specialaguero, bojan, and others are his age and look far better than he does at this level
Obviously them guys are miles ahead of Theo currently (KEYWORD) but right now, their international prospects all look quite similar...

His criticism is fully justified considering the hype he gets from the media and arsenal fans.We have now been hearing, "give him time" for 2 and a half years now.Like Lahi said, Owen was 89023833829239x better than theo at the age of 18, likewise with Rooney. And correct me if im wrong, isnt Wally supposed to be England's next great hope to lead the line for the national squad....?

i understand its ultimately about how a young player developsbt at the same time you have to be judged on the performances you've put in currentlyand whats walcott done since being at arsenal, one amazing run against liverpool grantedbut mans mostly been running the ball out, tripping over his feet and generally look decidedly AVERAGE
