The first single could have set people hopes high as well.I thin the album is very mature. Its nothin glike his previous albums, Not as good as confessions or 8701. But its decent from my first listen.What I like about this album is its not like your typical Rnb of of today (Saw Synthesize/ 808 drums_) Its different/Mature. BREATH OF FRESH AIR.Like immaculate said, Nuff Sex music on this Album.. Certain tracks will get looped with the miss'sStand out tracksIntro Prayer for your - InterludeMoving Mountains - WOW! the full track is disgusting!Trading Plading placeslove In the ClubHis Mistakes - NiceWhat a Man to do - Big. I luv the way that indian sample was flip. Had that sample for yeeeeaaars.Hear I stand -Will work for love50/50 - BEFORE I MET YOU - could be a slow grower.I think the album catered for every RNB fan. Rather you like it or not, you will find some sort of Rnb track on there U like.The album is Solid- Not is best. 7/10 from first listen. He coulda shortened the tracks lists IMO. It's not many head-banging, ear-catching RnB tunes that he's been known to do. More focus on songwriting and vocals than beats. Basically, the single is nothing to judge the album on, I think there are 4/5 other up-tempo songs on there out of 18.Gonna give it a second listen (well 1st listen was interrupted) and see wah gwarn but so far its a 3.5. Dont take this lil review too seriously because most of my fave albums I didnt like on first listen. Confessions took many months to grow on me. Well, I say many months but I never listened to it for most of them months. Most recently I didnt like The-Dream's album on first listen and I flippin love that album.Need to put this on the mp3 player or hear it a bit later when I'm less hyped, but will say it's better than MCs effort and I know girls that love their music/songwriting side are gonna love it, mandem I aint too sure, may be a bit too soft.Stand out tracks:Love In This ClubTrading Places (Makers of J. Holiday's 'Bed')Love You Gently (Raheem DeVaugn, Dre and Vidal)AppetiteLove In This Club pt. 2From what I remember were 4 star tracks. Mostly 3's but like I said I'mma be back with a proper listen, not just background music. I will leave on its solid that will deffo growBRBOk so I've had time to let this album sync in and its ufkcing sick. Was saying to JLov this is the first album in about 3 years that hasnt disappointed me considering how good its predecessor still is lol. Common, Kanye, TI, Mariah Carey and Lil Wayne (will) all let me down. Very solid and nothing skippable, obviously I have my faves still but if I wanna just listen to a whole album and just vibe without having to touch the fast forward button, this will be it for a while. Everytime I hear it a new track stands out (heard it about 4 times), so I expect to grow further. Dont think it will grow to the extent Confessions has but Usher has the best consitency of any RnB artist at the peak of Commercial RnB that I can remember. 3 7/10 or 4* albums in-a-row whilst being the King of RnB/Pop world will be hard to surpass. I think he's found success by not selling out or dumbing down but has lead the way. Even when he did Crunk with Yeah, it was the first Crunk 'n' B record of its kind ( someone may correct but Lil Jon said he hadnt done that kinda record before). Worked with Polow Da Don on the lead single this time but it doesnt sound like a rehashed Mario - 'Crying Out For Me,' Fergie's 'Glamorous' or Ciara's 'Promise', he just made him do something fresh. Same with Stargate on album tracks. More artists at that level or that have been at a high level such as Joe, Monica and Brandy need to follow.Knew people wouldnt like it to start with but I expect it to grow on many. The lead single and leaked tracks that arent on the album being the main cause of that IMO. Like I said, they are nothing to judge the album off. Had he done a double-disc album, this and one like the leaked tracks and singles that woulda been crazy. Thing with now is we live in the iPod generation, a time where albums arent treasured and listen in its entirety, so fave songs on a solid album are classed as the only songs iPod worthy with the rest recycle bin material while we wait for the next album to drop.Music come like fast food Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I not fan of In The Club track, so i wasn't gonna expect much from this album, but i'm sorry its big.The stand out tracks ave bin mentioned and i c/s that, but not many mentionedSomething Special, im feeling this track.i don't like the way Jay spits on Best Thing track, he sounds sh*t IMO. will be playing the album over the next couple days no doubt, for now i'd give it 7/10.001 - point well made i c/s ur thread, it coinsides with this throw away society thats bin created, tis a shame. We're used to massive music, for someone who has been away for 4+ years this aint really cutting it.Unless someone makes a request for this, I forget to delete it or get told to listen to a specific song...this will rot in my hard drive. 'Confessions' had the balance of grown, not as mature but mature enough and bangers that all managed to flow effortlessly. This album is too hard to appreciate for RnB fans that only know Mary J Blige since Family Affair and think they are slow jam experts 'cause they know a couple of the bait singles from back in the day like Freakin U - Jodeci.
