People keep saying that PS3 is the better prospect in the long run, why is that?Is the machine more powerful than the 360?
If you had a PS2 then you'd know.
not sure what you mean.If your referring to the amount of games available for the PS2 compared to the original xbox I think your wrong. The reason the PS2 had so much more variety than the Xbox was because it was out for a lot lot longer and was established as the most popular console. right now Sony are in the complete opposite position.
So your saying all those great PS2 games wont come to PS3? Playstation games sell, its a fact.

Not necessarily more powerful, but definitely more 'future proof'.The power of the cell processor hasn't really been used by any game yet, 'cos the big boy exclusive games are still on their way. It's a f*ck*ng bitch to develop for (apparently) which is why it's taking so long to get everything out, but the PS3 definitely has alot more to look forward to than the 360.I'm not even agreeing with all the PR sh*t Phil Harrison came out with before the console was released, but The PS3 will be around for the NEXT gen as well as this one, if things go to plan. There was a time about 6-7 months ago, when it seemed that the PS3 may never utilize its power, but with previews of forthcoming games, more info about home released, BluRay dominating the format war and PlayTV coming theres no doubt in my mind that PS3 will be sickening in the future. It probably won't ever 'beat' 360/Wii 'cos theyve simply sold sooo much, but the potential is there for it to have had such a massive headstart on the next conosle from Micorosft.I mean, in about 1 years time, you are going to be able to record live TV on your PS3 (ala sky+) then stream it wireleslly to your PSP anywhere in the world. Same as PS3 games, you will be able to stream them to your PSP.Imagine going on Holiday to Australia, and being able to get your PSP out, set MOTD to record and then watch it whenever you want.Or loading up PS3 games and playing them on the train streamed from your PS3.All you need to be is in a wifi hotpoint.Gonna be soooo sick.

nah cos people think with the blu-ray player they will have the ability (in the future) to have bigger more detailed games fitting onto the discs. Little do they knw, that the incl. blue-ray player data transfer rate is SO swag, it wud always be a "installing" ting for games, so there will come a point when certain people with their 40GB hard drives will have to (LMFAO) uninstall one game to put on another.
or just buy a 320gig hdd for 60 and put that in as most people have now done
swiftly silenced.

Highest selling 360 game is 8 million, highest selling PS3 game is 3 million. Sony had loyal customers but they took the piss for so long with the PS3 most of them ended up getting a 360. the amount of man I know who were Sony fanboys that now have a 360 is ridiculous.

So the PS3 could possibly outlast the 360 and microsofts following console.those features sound good, but I imagine something like that is much harder to implement than being able to message while playing a game so I can't see that happening within a year.

Thats the Japanese for you. They cater mainly for the Japanese market, and they are different to us.Ingame messaging etc doesn't really interest them, as they simply don't play FPS'.It's finally coming now, because it will come in handy for MGS Multiplayer, and Japan will play that sh*t none stop, even though its probably gonna be swag (the multiplayer).

My japanese teacher said they find online gaming nerdy in japan, those who play online are assumed to not have friends. Thats kinda dumb coming from a clever country still :D

Wel, seeing as i can play ur psp/ps3 wirelessly already, they only need to focus on PlayTV imo. What's sick, is recording game footage and uploading it to youtube. THATS a feature.
