I got charged £20 in all (a dent in my door, ceiling tile replacement and a hole that someone booted in the back of a sofa that no-one ever owned up to), looking forward to getting that £130 back

Freshers lineups seem so much less exciting than last year probably cos I know there's better places I could be spending my time and more house parties about.

Will prob reach DQ a lot more this year

You know where your heading for freshers?

Flatmate's bought us some Chase and Status ticket, dunno where or when it is

Not bought anything yet. That might be Plug's 5th Bday with Chase and Status, seen them like 5 times now wasn't even fussed I missed them at Bestival when it was supposedly one of the best sets.

I moved to uni by train so no-one can complain. Me, my mum, my godmother and my younger brother all carrying a shitload. I foolishly bought a printer before I went as well which was more to carry. Got to halls all sweaty and one of the suitcases' wheels were absolutely f*cked so ended up dragging it past all the other ppl moving in making bare noise and drawing attention to myself.

my uni let us set up xbl, just had to go to the computing dept

First study skills session out the way, was good. Discussed "Time Management" since everyone is part-time its good to get an idea of how things can be done especially when you are given assignment deadlines, then plan when you can research, proof-read, do essays etc but as everything in life it might not go to plan since the unexpected can happen, adding into this juggling relationship (which we have discussed already), family (they know the deal) and even work (that's been discussed). Enjoyed shooting the breeze and helping others with what they can do, hearing what they have to say. For me this was useful and if anyone is going back into education I'd suggest you do these type of workshops/study skill sessions, they will come in handy.

Three sessions tomorrow;

*Introduction to academic essay writing

*Demystifying the first year

*Academic speak: vocabulary building

Then come September 28th as far as I know my time table looks like

Tues: Intro To Cinema

Weds: Media Analysis

Thurs: Japanese level 1

On our course of 300 last year there were about 15 of us who didn't get a day off (the days certain seminar groups fell). Our timetables are out, and yet again I'm in that group.

Joke thing is they've mixed it up too, so my mates who were in my seminar groups and had no days off now do.

I'm not exactly pissed (I finish at 1pm Friday and am not in till 3pm Monday) but it's a bit off a pisstake.

two 9am's and one 10am :(

I've put up such a front with most of the people here.

it's cool though.

hope I don't end up in shite student events over the next week.

there's no privacy in my particular flat though. fack. 20 people just hanging around in the living room from all over.

*stays positive*

but on the greater upside, i've enrolled in further chinese classes. very excited.
