Barca confirm star trio can leavePep GuardiolaGuardiola has no previous senior coaching experienceNew Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola says Ronaldinho, Deco and Samuel Eto'o are free to leave the club."With the technical secretary we are forming a squad and Deco, Ronaldinho and Eto'o are not in our minds," said Guardiola, a former Barcelona skipper. He confirmed that his priority was to buy a striker to partner Thierry Henry. But he ruled any possibility of making a bid for Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been linked to Barca's arch-rivals Real Madrid. The departures of Deco, Ronaldinho and Eto'o from the Nou Camp will be of particular interest in England and Italy.Midfielder Deco could join his Portugal coach Luiz Felipe Scolari at Chelsea next season or Jose Mourinho's Inter Milan, while Ronaldinho has been linked with AC Milan, Chelsea and Manchester City. The priority is a number nine, we need one to complement Thierry Henry and Bojan KrkicPep GuardiolaCameroon striker Eto'o has also been linked with a move to Milan, but has admirers in the Premier League, with Tottenham thought to be leading the chase.Guardiola, who succeeds Frank Rijkaard as boss of the Catalan club, hinted that he would have retained Ronaldinho if the Brazilian had shown an improved attitude."If he had the desire, if he felt he could once again become the player he once was, maybe we could think about it," said Guardiola."But the situation has deteriorated and the solution is to build a strong dressing room." 606: DEBATEWill Barcelona's clear-out make them stronger? The imminent exit of the Brazilian and the recent departure of Giovani dos Santos to Spurs means Barcelona will be short of options on the left flank, but Guardiola said a bid for Ronaldo was out of the question."I wouldn't make space for him in the team, even though I think he is a very good player," said Guardiola."We will look at the possibility of bringing in a winger, but if we don't that's fine. The priority is a number nine, we need one to complement Henry and Bojan [Krkic]. I want the three to feel like first-team starters."Guardiola, 37, won six league titles in 11 seasons as a midfielder with Barcelona but has never held a senior coaching position.Barcelona finished third in La Liga last season and were knocked out of the Champions League at the semi-final stage during a trophy-less campaign.

Meanwhile, Portugal midfielder Deco has confirmed Chelsea are interested in signing him but insists he has not spoken about the move with his national team coach, Luiz Felipe Scolari. "There's interest from Chelsea, which is normal, but Scolari hasn't said anything to me," said Deco. "Now, we're talking to Barça, [about an exit from the club]. Scolari is a great coach and if I end up working with him again I'd be very happy."
Deco also suggested that Ronaldinho, another Portuguese-speaker, would be an ideal signing for the Stamford Bridge club. "Ronnie is a friend, and I'm sure he can get back to being one of the best, if not the best player in the world," he said. "It would be great [if Chelsea signed Ronaldinho] because he would be going to a great club and I'd like to see him playing in the Champions League with a great team and showing that he's still the best in the world."
Deco saying good stuff about us, I'm sure I read a quote aswell saying he'd like Ronaldinho to play WITH him for us.

what about Messi?
lol@ selling messi
nah i mean, how can Guardiola talk about Henry and Bojan being their most important players like Lionel Messi isn't in their squad
But Messi isn't a number 9 to compliment either player is he? A natural number 9 is a goalscorer.Messi is the future of Barca and I can see why they want to offload them 3 and bring in fresh blood. Deco, Ronnie and Eto' didn't impress at all last season.Villa would be happier to stay in Spain than move to England but weather they want to fork out the amount Valencia value him at is another question.

Dinho to Milan
Milan have said they can't compete with Man City in terms of wages.
:D Never thought I'd ever read this statement in my life.
qft lol! Its time for barca to move into a new stage and they've probably got the best they were going to out of these 3 players.
