DEFO no need for MORE police, but we certainly need a more efficient police force. But thats not mutually exclusive to solving gun and knife crime, thats just a more general point of improvement for the police force. Nat, I used to think the same thing years ago, but read up on the affects of war ro soldiers post war, and research a little about the type of war thats being conducted in the Middle East now, and compare it to times when young adults were being sent to war in the 30s and 40s and youll see the difference. Its usually some typical stereotype role rather than just a normal black, law-abiding person. This can be reflected when people say "I'm not your average black male," or "typical black people" based on negativity. More time the latter is said by black people lol. Like I said, bare zombies.Thats not, necessarily, me asking for favours, just stating based on observation.Was discussing this with a bredrin the other day, saying something along the lines of how black culture is just seen as a form of entertainment or a joke to the rest of the world, (look at the way people portray hip hop for example. But then i was thinking..Arent black people so quick to want to take up the role of entertainer though? Yeah, but when you check it, what other realistic option do they see? Back in the days kids used to play ball 'cause they see man like Ian Wright and Andy Cole. Then So Solid buss and balls were getting kicked over and not retrieved, or catching cobweds in the shed because they all wanted to be an MC.In reality, those are not the only options, but many will gravitate towards that 1. because of the glamour and enjoyment but I still believe some choose that because they see it as something they may have a chance of doing.The change has begun and it will continue to change when our generation gets older. With the internet and people around such as parents, uncles and friends going to university and aiming for professional jobs, our kids will be able to aspire to something else.Main people I am talking about are the fatherless waste/roadman that do petty street crime, think that reputation in the streets is worth more than life. The type that will resort to extreme violence such as stabbing and shooting to avoid having to walk street with everyone around him knowing he got punched up, and has no real role models 'cause his uncles have been doing the same thing, while his mum and aunties were more concerned with raving than looking after him.You cant change all but you can change most. We've all seen/known people in gangs that when you catch them one-on-one, you know they are intelligent and not really built for it naturally, but fall into it becuase they know they are potential pussies and likely to get battered or sent out. From what I've seen, those are the ones that go steps further, 'cause they know within them, they aint that guy.
