can u really say grime is dead tho when the artists involved with it seem to be having success than ever.
Grime ain't dead.. it's just not as popular in other places as it is in London... and it's nothing to do with the quality of the music .. it's just harder for people to get access to the music... you could ask people in Manchester, Birmingham and other places in the UK to name the most recognisable Grime artist in the UK.. and the first reply would be " What is Grime?" or " I like that Dizzie Rascal"...
this statement is 100% false.

im from london im a bassline 4x4 producer and i hate it when someone calls it niche its f*ck*ng jarring
TBH Bassline and Niche are not totally differnet from each other There both sub-genres of speed garage, 4x4 garage etcBut to the people who like myself listen to both Bassline and Nich - You can notice the differences

i jus personally cnt see how grime can be dead when ppl are getting success, and tunes are having more depth/insight/structure to them. boy..the same hype/energy may be different but still...

Can you up 2 videos of Niche and 2 videos of Bassline.I would say Niche/Bassline is the same thing. Its just old 4x4 Garage but Northern style. There is no way it is a whole new genre. Its just a shitty cheap Northern version of 4x4 Garage.

hardly anyone i know, know where it comes from. jus think its sh*t. when u properly listen to it, it is.
True.
+Grime isnt dead, just different now.I prefer the old days though
Grime hit its peak in the Eskimo Dance days.Say around 2002-2004.Look at all the crews and mc's about them times and then look at the scene now. The tunes were better and you had a better selection of producers.

aint read the whole topic but the guys that like the hype beats need to listen to some burga boy tunesbangers
[Durrty Goodz]It's Reeeeeaaaaall real real real real[Durrty Goodz]Hold tight Macz for knowing the fooking levels (How ironic though me using a Grime quote above)But on a realist, Bassline is just as big, if not bigger than what Grime used to be back in mid-2004/early 2005I was adamant that I would not listen to anything but Grime back thenBut then 2006 opened up the doors for Dubstep - Dubstep controlled my life till I got into Bassline in 2007I still listen to Grime but IMO ; Top Three Selected Genres [in order] Bassline, Dubstep and then Grime - Nothing wrong with 3rd place

Guest M12 Part 2
When i was in Croyden the other day.. i was chatting to my cousin and he tellin me how Londoners rarely listen to Bassline/4x4 .. its strictly Grime and Hip Hop.. so they don't really take that much notice of the scene up north.
theres some tunes that i hear and im like ye this is alrite, on the whole its jus sh*t.i was wit man dem today and flinged on channel u, was playin some bassline hour. after two tracks man dem startin wilin out 'change this sh*t fam its hurtin my ears''if i was in a rave wit this i would lock off the dance jus so they dont play it again'etc
channel u play sh*t bassline, most of it is london based.u wont hear any real tunes on there

if any1 can listen to these 5 tunes and genuinely tell me they are all sh*t fair enough:1. jodie ayesha-so typical2. Amy Winehouse- Valerie (DJ Q Remix)3. T2 (Ft. Sharnell)-Why4. Wittyboy (Ft Yana)-Sweet Love5. Mr Virgo-Something Realthem tunes there are hard. dont care where you're from or what u think. if u dont like any of them your opinion on life is void.
