Look at it from this perspective..1. Imagine yourself as a ball of energy occupied inside a human body..At this point you are equal to every other ball of energy inhabiting in a human body..equality truely does exist and is possible and this example proves it.2. Now, when people start defining themselves as different colors, heights, weights, cultures etc. this leaves room for discrimination because it forces a difference, therefore people will judge and they will give opinions. If you allow yourself to be a part of colours, heights, weights, cultures etc. then you allow yourself to be judged. If you see things in heights, weights, cultures, etc. then you too judge on these things and therefore you are apart of the game.Try seeing things from the no. 1 perspective and you will realise that truely, this magazine doesn't infact mean sh*t and life goes deeper than this photo.
i swear i would LOVE to live in your head. it makes life oh so freaking sweet and bliss.think about it this way..we are all the same in God's eyes or if you want if we get cut we all bleed & we all bleed red blood.but then as life has it we are all different according to races, skin colour whatever. i don't take it as a negetive at all. my skin makes me black, the same your skin makes you white (if you are). its nice to have different people. you can't always take it as a negetive.but by some bull crap some white people in the past decided to take it as a negetive. black people = baboons to them and therefore = slaves. then when all slavery came to pass still arpatheid. because those people chose to judge people by colour. NOT black people themeselves and definately not I.then later arpatheid kind of passed but still discrimination. because of my skin colour. NOT my choice again BUT because it has been hammered into society that black in inferior.discrimination is still there and don't even think for a second i think its just black people because by that general statement you make it seem like I think that injustice only happens to me or just black people.look at the jewish people. should i even get into that? they are NOT black but it was a result of their religion or culture or whatever.again i would LOVE this idea where life is all roses but face it IT'S NOT. history is f*cked up and the media is not helpingi am not obsessed with my colour but i do not ignore it and people around me whether black, white, puertorican or asian do not ignore it either. lets all be this BALL OF ENERGY but first off try convincing everyone then get back to me ya ya.
Well done Miss B although i personaly think u shuda just ignored this guy

???can they not think the same thing by looking at a black hair magazine and seeing girls with relaxed hairlooking sleek and shiny, in ringlets in whateverpeople are saying shes a sellout for doing the l'oreal advertbut even i she did a advert for a black hair relaxer... she would still probably have relaxed hair/weavehow can people be pissed at her for not having natural hair in a l'oreal advert, when the models in black hair adverts don't even have natural hair???darkandlovelywj6.jpgdarkandlovelychildrensxv0.jpgoliveoilolyeka3.jpg

i get what you are saying..but i also think that modelling your relaxed afro hair for an afro relaxer advert because you are african american is diffrent to covering your natural hair with a weave and saying it is yours then modelling for a caucasian hair product because you have caucasian hair sewn on you. do you get what i mean?again there is nothing wrong with relaxing your hair or wearing a weave.. don't get me wrong that is not what i am saying/is being said..what is being said is that why is it her image when it is not who she is?would it be ok if we had white women put on an afro wig and model for dark and lovely? coz that is what she is doing..i don't know if i am explaining what i mean propery...

ok you are talking about her putting on a weave for the advertbut she isn't she wears weave all the timeas a lot of black women do... i don't think that her wearing a weave is anything to do with them trying to change her image or her having an image that isn't pro-black ... when a considerable number of average black women wear weaveseven when you see pictures of beyonce when she was little her hair was always straighted...i don't think its a matter of them drastically changing her hair specifically for this one advert/campaigni get your point on her standing by a white product when she is blackbut i don't see why people are bringing weave into it, or the fact that her hair is straight/lightbecause if her hair was like that but she was advertising a black hair product they wouldn't say anthing because thats how shes always been and that it who she isyoungbeyonceql9.jpg

The definition of chip on your shoulder.Life is full of people setting examples that are bad.Deal with it.But please don't come with this "our people" chat.As for sell out. I beg people stop throwing this word about. It's so redundant its untrue. I can't even be bothered to get into this cause I'll end up punching a wall or arguing with Numero (both equally hard).

Beyonce has NOT had a nose job, just the angle of the picture. seen the argument enough times on youtube. She has had a boob job 100% she had small breasts b4.She has not worn her extensions since going solo, which is a shame, that is the beyonce I really got into listening to the "Writings on the Wall".2q3zy4j.jpgNo skin lightening, here is a pic of her performing, she can be quite pale: 30naote.jpg3zspp3c.jpgIts the African + european mix that makes her attractive. That is what she must know, not just the european part. She should'nt be wearing weave EVERY time we see her.2agjal2.jpg^^Love this pic, don't see why something like this can't be on an ad campaign. Her mum http://www.soundoffcolumn.com/images/tina-knowles.jpg

Yeah but this is the answer everytime " i would LOVE this idea where life is all roses but face it IT'S NOT "and because people keep saying this, of course things are not going to change because it is a negative statement and like we have proven: negative statements are hard to brush off.Lets face it, people are addicted to judging others and why? because it makes their day, they love the entertainment; they don't want things to change, of course they don't, they are happy to carry on classing people differently because it gives them a sense of being superior to another human being. You don't need to live inside my head for 5 minutes, instead you need to live in Mikey's head. Try being a blind man and then tell me how much colour means to you.[Agent Smith] Appearances can be deceiving[/Agent Smith]People keep saying that 'ashman is a d*ckhead' or 'ashman chats sh*t', but it is these people who are drawn in to the social conclusion and it is these people who are scared to break away from society because they too are scared to be on the bottom end, so what do they do? they blend in to society.I say f*ck anyone who thinks skin colour is important. The rabbit hole goes so deep, yet people ain't letting their minds elevate.. instead they are fixaited on nationality, skin colour, looks, weight etc.And people wonder why we got so much crime, why there are so many wars, why there is apartheid..Do you know what? I think people should ignore skin colour; ignorance is bliss.People can stay on the skin colour flex but I been there, done that and bought the tee shirt. I am a deeper mind than most, because skin tone is just the outter layer.. I go deeper then that.

I don't undestand... If colour is not such a big issue... and we should look beyound colour, nationality etc etc... why do you choose not to breed outside of your race? Is that not focusing on colour?
Yes it is.And I am not affraid to say that I was wrong. The thing is, people can easily throw the past at me, but I went through it for a reason and I am where I am today because of it.No one is perfect.

I didn't know you no longer held those views... fair enough.

The thing is EUROPEAN (thin nose, silky hair, light skin) is considored beautiful in the society we live in. We hardly ever have a dark skinned, fuller featured short haired chick called a sex symbol or selling records, or being a commercial success. Image is a big deal, and the fact that Beyonce is a black american and is perhaps being portrayed as something she isn't is seen as offensive, as it seems like her original beauty wasnt beautiful enough. The thing is to me, thin noses, and silky hair and light skin are not just attributed to whites.
