I bet 3 quarters of Jamaica didn't know about Bolt from 5 years ago.
How is that even slightly relevant?5 years is a very long time in the athletics career of someone who is only 22
Not gonna hype gonna wait a few days see if man get busted for drug use
And if you have Jamaican parents, shame on you for not knowing about Bolt from at least 5 years ago.

Of Jamaica did you say? You obviously have no idea. High school champs are big things over there and he used to grace the back page of The Gleaner/Observer on a regular when competitions used to happen. They knew he'd be a star from long time ago, it was a matter of when not if.School champs on a whole are taken very seriously let alone Athletics. They run in the National stadium and fill out the place. Schools are different to over here, the support over there is similar to US and Colleges unlike here where it's just a place where you learn and socialise. An example of this is people hang up their ties on the rear-view mirror years after they've left and they sell dolls dressed in school uniforms. Once a JC/Wolmers/Immac/St Andrews etc. student, youre always reppin that.Dont you remember the guy was the face of Puma at either last World Champs, the Commonwealth Games two years ago or the World Champs before that. They had a big billboard poster of him over here either just rising from the blocks or in the drive phase. I think during the previous Olympics in 2004 he was the face of Jamaica and Puma. I'm gonna try find the advert of him running into the studio then passing the baton to Ele then bussing Thunda Clap. Remember the one where he goes "Stick, stick stick"?

lol advert is jokes. first time I've seen it.But It doesn't prove that people knew who he was, Scott Parker was in a Mcdonalds advert when he was 15 but people didn't really know about him til years later unless they were deep into youth football. I'll take your word for it though that he was well known in Jamaica 5 years ago.

So what if people didn't know Usain Bolt until a few weeks ago? Because you knew of him before others means you're more patriotic that they are?Get the f*ck out of here. Wouldn't be surprised if you and your parents were born in England with only your great great grandfather being quarter Jamaican.

McDonalds ad is different to being the face for your countries main sponsor ads leading up to the Olympics. Man is black like midnight, you know he has to be someone to be the face. Asafa would be a different story. What was Parker doing in the ad?And its not a who knew who first if you'd read it, its proof that he has been a supreme athlete for a very long time. flojo questioned it, I answered him, he conceded. DoneDo people read on here? Go back to where I first quoted black and you'll see where this stems from, imbeciles

are you lot seriously having this discussion its so petty
Thats kinda what I was getting at when he said Black should be ashamed if he didn't know about Bolt 5 years ago.And Numero Parker was in the Mcdonalds ad doing kickups in the back garden with a red kit on, you'll remember it from way back.

Only 'cause he was tryna go on like man could be on drugs. Put the whole text into context and you'll understand the point. An yeah you may have been getting at that but you were wrong. End

the temptation of drugs overrides all those stats. and marion jones was dominating in athletics AND basketball, so she was not just a basketballer who turned came from nowhere. same with ben johnson. dwain chambers was also a top youth athleteyou dont train with him, so we never know. we hope that he will be able to restore credibility to the sport but if he is discovered to be doping then he has practically destroyed sprinting for good. who cares how long anyone has known him. he didnt mention any of your names here, nor did i see any of you there after he won. i doubt anyone mentioned him here in 2004 either. all it is is once again this pussyclaart 001 trying to get ratings for nothing.

Back to this selective breeding stuff, how comes it didnt benefit anyone else like it as the Jamaicans then?
It has. America is full of people who are subject to selective breeding. Black and White. You'll notice many of the enormous white guys playing in the NFL have German sounding names. Thank the Prussian guard for that.As the training facilities and techniques catch up with the god-given physical attributes of the athletes, you see a nation excel.

Whats the bold got to do with anything? Do you fail to see the point that he was not like Asafa who I hadnt a clue about from school champs, or Tim Mont until he broke the record, Usain was a big man from time, therefore chances are he isnt on drugs. Thats the point, done. Well you think I care whether anyone mentioned him? That doesnt mean sh*t, it's not a who knew him first ting. I'm telling you he was a known runner. I have nothing to boast about or proove, I know I knew who he was, big deal. If there was anyone else who cared about what goes on in Jamaica or read the papers and followed sports they would know too. Its nothing big. Guess it goes to distinguish the real from the fake tho :PMY point is, its a steady rise to where he was predicted to be from a long while ago. This should come as no surprise that he's winning
