ARSENAL are poised to land Feyenoord’s Jonathan De Guzman for £12million.Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has made his move for the tough-tackling midfielder, 20, who is known as the Dutch version of Owen Hargreaves.Canadian-born De Guzman has been on Arsenal’s radar for the past two years and now Wenger wants him to be Cesc Fabregas’ minder. And the player is keen on the deal despite rival interest from Everton.De Guzman, whose older brother Julian plays for Deportivo La Coruna in Spain, acquired Dutch citizenship in January. And he snubbed the chance to play for Canada in order to make his debut for Holland’s Under-21 team in March. He recently claimed: “My dream clubs are Arsenal and Barcelona. If clubs of that stature are interested in you then you cannot say no.“I’m certainly open to interest from Arsenal and from what I hear Feyenoord are happy to hear from them as well.” yeah about de guzman from me, his first touch and ability to move the ball quickly from his feet has allowed him to play centre midfield for Feyenoord. He is very robust and athletic and can make and break aTtacks. Bruins and Hofs take up regular forward rolls but De Guzman can be played in an advanced position due to his quallity. He has a very positive approach with fantastic eye for space that will make him a top player for us.THIS IS OUR NEW FORATION-----------DENNY----------DEGUZ------CESC-----------------NASRI-----------I SEE YOU WENGERUTTER LEGENDI NEVER DOUBTED YOUTHIS IS A TOP MOVE

Jonathan de Guzman's agent has played down reports linking the player with a move to Arsenal.Arsenal were reported to be eyeing a move for the Feyenoord midfielder before the close of the transfer window next week.Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has admitted he is in the market for one more new signing, with reports suggesting de Guzman was on his list of targets. However, de Guzman's representative Jan de Visser says any move is unlikely because of Feyenoord's high asking price."I don't expect a transfer of Jonathan this summer," de Visser told Sportweek."The price that Feyenoord ask for him is too much for the interested clubs. And the closer you come to the end of the transfer window, the more expensive he will get."
