Try asking at club shops re. boots.

At the Villa they often have match worn and training boots (and old kits etc.) for sale from the players in the club shop. I was in there a few weeks back before a game and they had a big pile of boots out.

All top quality boots with a couple of wears ranging from £10-£40. They had some size 9 Adidas with 'SD' on the sole for £25 that were in great condition. Presume they were Downing's from last season.

My mate bought a pair of Carew's a few years ago for £20 too.

They do a big sale over 2 days at the end of every season where all the old used training gear that isn't worth anything to charity is sold off on the cheap too. The likes of youth team and reserves training stuff.
