The music by itself is niceness, but I also like the MC aspect in there too.. The sing along aspect is itself a niceness. I come from the old school garage scene, I know all the 'big names' from that side of the fence but relatively little from the house side. Difference being I'm not 40 and can appreciate the finer elements of the music and the vibe people wanna hear in the dance.So is there a lot of house guys saying one thing but doing another? As you said a lot of the tribal stuff almost calls for a couple lyrics here and there - But it still needs control. As soon as anyone hears any nonsense about clash and who's badder than who then surely thats the music dead already.I like what you man are doin, as I've already said Circle in Napa was the best rave I touched whole holiday. All my gang were frassed outside while I shoobsed with some girls from the bits on my ones. That to me epitomizes what house/funky/whatever u wanna call it is about. Taking it back to latter days Garage, So Solid man would spit, whereas in comparison HLC would have appeared to be hosts but were spitting bars. Thats not what that music is about to me.Tbh for me on house.. If the selector is playin vocal soulful I'll do the host thing, if a tribal beat comes on I'll drop a couple rhymes and bill a little vibe. He might call himself an MC but I still see that as more of a host. An MC has more complex lyrics.The only MC I can't stand so far in funky is Gemini. 'House' Yeah I know its house !!
