Captain Planet Posted January 24, 2009 Report Share Posted January 24, 2009 I had some breast fillets in the freezer I took them out and put them in the fridge for about 14 hours but they still haven't thawed fully, it seems because they were a bit stuck together.I've just poured hot water over them.Correct or is salmonella me today? What you should have done is put them in a pot with either cold or warm water and left them to defrost fully. I hate defrosting wings quick because they always stick together, have to get out a knife and pry them apart before proper defrosting. Wouldn't have put it back in the fridge after the hot water personally but if you cook it properly you'll most likely be alright. I'd definitely risk it but then I hate to waste food.
