First funky intro.

Here's the intro my first funky tune. It's got no drums apart from a kick and a cabasa.I've tried to bluesify it a bit you can tell at some of the licks in there.I need ideas on what to do once it drops and possible on sounds (like that cheap trumpet sound in there).Bass is a bit of a mess at the mo, unless you listen through headphones or proper speakers.Obviously feed back is appreciated :D.

Not too good at music theory but this is all over the place and the bass sounds of scale and the DX piano is on another scale and the bluesy is diffrent to the other too. In a nutshell it sounds like 3 or 4 seperate tracks put together.Personaly i would get that blues riff & brass and make new track from that. Theres something there...

In term of theory it is all written in E flat major apart from the blue notes which are in blue scale E flat (which is supposedly how it should be done).I see what you're saying though I need to learn how to incorporate them better.Still gonna trywork all the pieces together though, want to do something very different.I will post progress.

No need to be a arsehole about it. Are you this uptight in the studio? You stated that you are trying to make a funky track, which you have clearly been working hard on and haven't got the response you wanted. All of a sudden now its wasted & and not worthy. Im not having a dig at you just keep it moving. What other genres do you usually comfortable with? show us some of that, dont think ive heard a finished track from you.

Not even, I started it because somebody wants a back beat to some t-shirt promotion they are doing, I spent like 5 mins sticking some chords in and a further hour trying out sounds (like them shitty pan flutes) together (not 2 sound like some superman but I do this all the time thats why I don't finish stuff).Tbh my classical pieces are quite decent I'll try get some stuff off college computers.I was on grime way back but most of my stuff is/was utterly utterly shitly mixed so you know...I jus like orchestrating music not neccesairly composing it, I like telling people wht key to play in, what style, choose timbres, add things, take away, and blend it all toghether but I rarely get the chance to work with good muscians.
