OFFICIAL CAR/DRIVING TOPIC

Just renewed my insurance.

My car got crashed into 2 years ago when parked, in the snow.

I wasn't in the car.

The other driver's insurance covered the repair.

f*ckers have now put my insurance up by £50 because of this. f*ckin wankers. They've got us by the bollocks

Just lost £800 of a premium on my whip with Admiral. f*ck 'em.

Car got nicked and apparently because it is considered 'a total loss' unless it's recovered, I'm f*cked. Thought fully comp meant I was covered whatever, kmt.

I thought in the case of theft that they gave you the market value of the car?

Nah.

They instantly took off 10% as I had no M.O.T when it was nicked. They tried to deduct money based on the mileage, despite the fact I told them the engine has been replaced and the mileage on the clock wasn't accurate , tried to take for M.O.T failures from 2 years ago (they knew everything, only minor, but recalled brake light failure, all sorts)..

Check your small print, people!

Wait so now you're saying you have paid insurance for a whole year on a car u only had for a month and they won't give u back the money unless they recover the car...

But if you get the car back you won't need a refund cos you will need insurance no?

:/:lol:

You might wanna flash di badge or suttin

still doesn't make sense... if theft is included in your insurance it wouldn't matter what happened to the car after it got stolen, just that it's recorded stolen to the police.. aslong as it's on police records an insurance comapany should pay out

Fam of course its on the records

he put it on the system from his mobile

Fam I'm not bothered about the payout.

I am getting screwed on my PREMIUM. No refund on it.

Drove to the south of France a month ago.

Would never do it again the journey was ridiculous, but it was a sick experience.

Driving back from st Tropez through to Paris with my boy in the car behind there was about 40 minutes of country lane style roads curvy as f*ck, pitch black, just about fit two lanes on with a deep ditch on one side(no idea why) and a small wooden barrier on the other side due to cliff edges. Some turnings were just a > shape with a cliff face in front of you. Come like that need for speed drift game from a few years back. Had to keep toggling the full beam every few minutes as someone comes round the bend in the opposite direction to you so you didn't blind them and send them over the edge lol. For the 1st 10 minutes I didn't even have the full beam on, just made it more thrilling, got a bit dangerous after a while though with the cliff face turnings coming out of nowhere lol.

Just like this video below but sharper turns and no lights/reflective signs, and roads were half the width...

Was driving at like 15mph at first but after a few minutes I was doing between 30-50 some next adrenaline rush, best driving experience I've ever had, just thought I'd share. Only wish I copped a rwd for that part of the journey lol.

Motorways were mad quiet as well, was just doing top speed pretty much all the way, and not one french police car or nothing, was a bit strange. Got flashed about 5 times but it was a hire car and I aint heard nothing lol.

It's a shame that road's like 12/13 hours away from here cos I'd definitely go back on it. Anyone know of any similar roads?
