Greens Posted March 4, 2015 Report Share Posted March 4, 2015 Although saying that, I once got a ticket in west end. Challenged it online and got the confirmation email. Month later got the double price letter. Called them up, woman said yeh I can see your challenge on the system, for some reason it hasn't gone through and they will look into. She told me another letter had been issued and to ignore it and wait for their response. Other letter comes through, ignored it like she said. Hear nothing from them until a month later the final warning letter, and then debt collector letter. Call them up again, talk to some next person who said there is no record of any challenge or any phone calls and basically called me a liar even though I was giving her my confirmation code I got on the initial email. Ended up having to print the email, sending it with a letter explaining how much of a shambles their system is, and in the end it got cancelled as a 'gesture of good will' Was a headache but got me off when I was completely in the wrong for the initial ticket. tl:dr summary, always challenge it. The first two hours are cool, after that you feel like they're making you do the hour 2 hours to punish you. You do learn some stuff m, mainly how to not get caught again.
