Well city paid £40m he got them into the champions league and made them a fixture in the top 4

Won the league, the fa cup and scored 60 in 110 with 6 months playing golf in between

 

but you were already winning the league and the champions league with him being a squad\bench player.

 

Couldn't justify spending 30m back then on a guy who wasn't even united first choice.

 

Only Chelsea and City (english clubs) had paid 30m for a player in them times and they bought to start.

No logic needs to applied when discussing our transfer fees paid.

We would happily send 8 or so Mill or even 15s on garbage - average players.
