I want to start wearing lipstick. But I am scared that I will look like my mum Circa 1984
LOLI want to as well. It works really well on some people. /I dont wear a lick of make up during the day anymore. Feels quite liberating!
I wear lipstick. I got nude, plum red, rose red and fuschia pink...all Rimmel.I dont put on too much cos it looks a bit odd. My favourite one is the pink.

Can we not just have a thread to ourselves Dammit! This is the equivalent of your porn thread I would imagine./My sister is doing beauty therapy and she says Decleor have good facial products. Can anyone co-sign?I've had enough of Clinique.
Had a Decleor facial once, was actually quite nice. My skin was glowing for quite a while afterwards. However alot of their products contain essential oils so if you're someone with sensitive skin then steer clear.

KayGee what brand of nail equipment do you use?My sister uses Entity and is finding it really hard to get tips, what brand do you recommend?
I use CND tips and they are the best i have ever used. They come if different types some only need very little blending which is a godsend for nail techs. I would recommend these to anyone.http://www.sweetsquared.com/Thats the website to buy them from but you have to be send off a certificate to show your qualified as they strictly only sell to trade. Once registered you have access to alot of other good products so its worth the hassle of joining./Natalie how are those for blending??I may be missing out.

Has anyone tried Barry M 119 (baby pink) nail polish? Maybe I'm putting it on wrong, but it's streaking and giving me headache just like the yellow one.
Yep. both colours work just fine for me.Streaking usually disappears if I shake the bottle hard and then apply a medium-thick coat . just have to be extra careful with my hands (or do nothing lol) for the next half hour or so

Love learning new things along the way!I've had my fair share of woes with the Yellow Barry M nail polish but i've found when applied on nail extensions it works a treat. Although thats more down to nail polish in general adhering better to nail extensions than the natural nail but anyhooo!Actually need to find myself a good mascara but all this trying and testing is semi distressing!

what is it you want it to do, lengthening, thickening etc, i am the queen of mascara testing ive already been through this painstaking task over the last few months!!!also, does anyone know where i can purchase a Coastal Scents 88 eyeshadow palette in this country? ive looked on the internet but they only do shipping from japan or usa, and i really dont fancy paying all that extra, or if not that then a palette very similar? i got a cheap one from argos and the colours arent anywhere near the same, the colour payoff is hardly worth the effort. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, ive been looking for this for a long time

oh, and incase anyones interested, one beauty product i swear by is african black soap, i use it for loads of things, ive got fairly sensitive skin but surprisingly i use it as a facewash and ive never had any funny reaction to it, although i have to make sure i moisturise after using it because it really dries my skin out, its also really good if u get shaving rash ,apparently you can use it on your hair if you get dandruff aswell. just thought i would share that!

Thanks Ladies! I think that's where I've been going wrong with Barry M. I apply thin coats but I guess medium to thick is the way to go.

black soap's the sh*t. I love it. If I run out of shampoo I use it to wash my hair(and tbh, it does a much better job). Even though they sell it in shops now, I still get my nan to send me some whenever someone's coming to the UK.Kaygee, that's a serious make up bag, lol. Mine consists of 1-2 hits, and a whole bunch of misses, mascara being one of them.I really want fake eyelashes, but I've got small eyes. I'm really worried about looking like a lot of the girls I've seen sporting them lately... they've got this dreadful Miss Piggy/drag queen look going on.

Have a look on the MAC website, check out number 4's 7's and 32's they are all good for smaller eyes and dont look heavy at all.7's are my personal fav.Reusable too as long as looked after, i peel the glue off after each use. Duo glue is the best, expensive but worth it as it lasts a very long time.

Kaygee I need a real life friend like you seriously
c/s, i've learnt a lot from this thread and kaygee's blognot really to do with makeup, but if anyone suffers from dark circles i recommend Dr Nick Lowe's Dark Circles Correcting Cream. it's a bit pricey (£11 from boots) but definitely worth it, i have tried so many different eye creams and this is the only one that has actually made a noticeable difference. he does a really good on-the-spot blemish gel as well.
