ive notice from tinchy and chipmunk being on top labels.. that do they have enough power.? .cause im seeing young spary on his album wizzy wow and Maniac, Naughty Boy on production.. and stryder having Ruff Sqwad and other grime artist on his offical singels remix..thought they would turn to a stright mupet by the a&rs and making them do tracks with producers who work with girls aloud or something
Pay Bashy or pay Armand Van Helden for a remix?

Theres guys in the scene that deserve a number 1,
like who?chippy may across as a prick but he has more work rate than the scene you are talking about.
I hate it when people talk about "work rate", like that should even be taken into consideration when yr discussing music.High work rate or not, his music is sh*t. He doesn't deserve any success when he's pumping out waste like "oopsy daisy".Big H is one of the least productive guys in the scene, but his mixtape is quality. Based on that, I'd like to see him be successful.

Music has gone backwards the last few years still.
C/SThe quality of UK dance music has gone way down hillWhen you think back to UK Garage and Drum n Bass how well crafted and sick them tunes were compared to the sh*t that is coming out today
music got wet from electro, misunderstood the term, embraced autotune, and left us with what?EUROTRASH!they're actually selling Eurotrash as credible urban music these dayshurts my soulChipmunk is a cool, level headed guy and a hard worker, plus "blah blah blah blah fire alie" was never gonna get him to this level so fair enough (if thats all he wanted). i can jus NEVER respect it. and if music to you is about creativity and artist integrity, and not about sales (that YOU ain't makin), you should all feel exactly as i do...disgusted.

Oi number seven, forward number eleven.
Real talk L Biz gets more ratings than these guys, I remember people were complaining like ahhh hes making this indie sh*t now etc.Well he was still trying to push the grime genre and stuck to the tempo and the gritty beats at least.Man has put out grime constantly anyway.

I dont get what every 1 expects man to dostay spitting on grime beats?cus he came from grime dont mean he shouldnt make pop songsId rather make a half decent pop song with a singer on the hook and go number 1then make a sick grime tune go number 1 in the channel u charts and not really make to much pee & still have pure hatersMusic is a business at the end of the day and if he only made grime tune and stayed underground man would be workin in somerfield quicker than u can imagine

There's a thing called balance, fam.Dizzee has done it the right way. Should be the model example.

Yea Dizzee did it firstNot every can follow that path he slyly pioneered, was the first of his kind6 years later every 1 does music, music game is over saturatedDifferent time, different situations u cant really compare the 2

The bottom line is Chpmunk could spend the next ten years performing at grime raves and going on radio sets. or he could ride the wave he's on right now and make a lil bit of money to support him an his family. Fairplay to him and Tinchy and Dizzee and to ever else hascrossed over to other genres, Chipmunk whether youlike him or his music or not is a positive role model for young kids growing up. Chipmunk >>>>> Local crack dealers but if this topic was about a notorious drug dealer the shotter would be getting less hate. If Chippy see's this as his way out of the gutter then fair play to him, Grime fans don't have a scene where albums and mixtapes get sold in huge numbers so he cant make enoughmoney to support himself i that scene. The fact that he's still featuring ppl fro, the underground on his album and therefore giving them a platform to be heard means he's ok by me.

Of course you can compare the two. Came from similar backgrounds, making music of an identical genre, pushing for mainstream success.Chipmunk, Tinchy, have decided to go for the immediate success path, but chances are, they will not have longevity & they won't attain balance.Allow the 'It's a business mentality''. It's a CREATIVE business. Critical acclaim & mainstream success go hand in hand. It's always the best formula, and should be what any recording artist strives for.I'm not saying Chipmunk has to make the same music, but he should take a similar approach to how he goes about making his music.
