Nuri Sahin from what I gather was instrumental in Dortmund's title winning season (Stopped following his progress at Feynoord) not sure what sort of player he's turned into and youtube doesn't do him any favours but he went there with a hefty reputation. There's no doubt he should be playing week in week out but you couldn't offer him that for sure at the minute with the loan option being the best route at the minute with Lansbury heading out to Swansea later this week, Arteta/Rosicky potentially in their last years at the top level, Frimpong unproven and Wilshere injury doubts then to have him as an option come the end of the season at £8m is priceless. If he is Song's replacement, then terrible loan signing, as we don't even have a fee agreed for a permanent deal... We struggle to keep our own players with years left on there contract, how are we keeping a player if he's succesful here and then back on the open market?! Whilst Coquelin isn't a big name he and Wenger will get some stick until the fans come around off the back of some solid performances to approve this decision. He's had good experience last year against the top sides so stage fright isn't an issue and everyone can spot his enthusiasm a mile off! whilst I think his technical attributes are going to let him down I think it will be up to the two midfielders along side him to that that burden and lets not forget Gilberto Silva was never the greatest passer of a ball. Its how they move, I tried to show man this early. I think it was the angling for a payrise & agent tbh. Arsenal probably said this Darren Dein guy has done this twice to us, with Barc, before we renew & give him the golden handshake money and then lose the player 1 or 2 years later anyway to the same club, lets just sell him now.
