when 'africa' (Amexem) was at the peak of interfacing with other continents in terms of trade, commerce and politics, Islam is what was used, not only to counter act the 'christian crusaders' but also as a more universal form of communication as they spoke arabic.

some new fools may feel that somali and other northern/eastern territories slapped their 'african' brothers in the face by rejecting the classification and resent them for it, but on a hereditory level, they did the right thing, they are in proper status.
