There can be no excuse for lack of effort which he constantly shows. Look at the difference between him and Rooney at the same age. It's clearly not about what they do on the pitch, you speak to people who don't even follow football too tough and a lot of them think Balotelli is a prick which is down to the way he's portrayed in the media.
