People shitting on Fruityloops in 2015...yekanye-happy.png?

Everything goes through studios these days and everyone's using software plugins, so WTF? Come like millions of producers haven't bust huge tunes off Fruity.

That Dej Loaf 'Try Me' beat was a FL beat just off the top of my head.

Mac guys chatting love shit, nuff man can't even operate the DAW they use.

Fruity loops>>>

But that shutdown beat is still poor and would've sounded dusty in 2005 let alone 2015.

ala the 'fruity loops 4' comment.

nothing to do with fl studios merits as a production software in 2015

london via jamaica if thats how u wanna put it

an unnecessary reach but do ur ting

i got respect for music from all over uk, bristol, shef, leicester

but we're the gold standard this is undeniable

Nah bro I'm just glad you're following the roots - and respect for your middle paragraph.

The debate goes on. Hip-hop is such a large entity now that it cannot recognize itself. UK rap seems alien to Americans, yet they have the ear of the world. Hip-hop as a culture is deep and we all know it's an African thing.

But over hear it's the Jamaican culture that links this ting, from Toronto to New York, to Miami to New Cross to Tottenham.

Drake shouting out Skepta and UK music (be it grime, or Sampha, Sneakbo, Jessie Ware etc) is the cultural equivalent of Skepta shouting out Nicodemus, or talking about Tivoli or talking about 'stageshow' energy - he's paying homage to a ting that's greater than an localized geographical scene.

That's why he gets my respect, because them man understand the roots of the ting and they know it's bigger than one place.
