whats so good about The Artist?

For me it was a homage to the silent period of cinema. Now when I have seen a few silent films I have either fallen asleep or got my phone out Twittering during lessons but with The Artist I found it sweet, charming, very well done, captivating and really enjoyable. I don't think it will appeal to everyone, but it is worth watching because you may well like it.

I've hardly seen a bad word said about the film and if I have its from people feeling they tried too hard etc.

The dog is great, Jean Dujardin and Bernice Bejo (found her really attractive) are both really really top notch.

The story is easy to pick up and you can see where it is going but that shouldn't be taken away from what is a stylish, wonderful film. One of the very few films I have smiled from beginning to end and clapped when the film was over, yes the whole cinema clapped. To do something like this now days for me is a unique achievement.

What it does show is how a popular actor from the silent period struggles to come to terms with cinema moving into the talkies period and studios wanting new, young faces to take over and move out the older silent actors. What you see Jean Dujardin go through is actually true to what actors did.

Source Code was decent, kind of lost its way towards the end tho, felt like it was rushed.

Lol, nah, it had way too much hype that let it down imo, there's been much cleverer ideas but this was pushed too hard.

Not gunna lie, I got it on dvd, it makes for good viewing, but y'know.

Yeah, I noway saw a sequel coming until the last 15 minutes.

Unless they have some clever ideas for part 2 like the 1st film it might be wack.

Someone is suing the producers saying there was hardly any driving in the film and the title was misleading lol.
