Is Van Persie really the best forward in this league?

I am yet to hear this talk outside Arsenal fans and Dutch people.

Yes he is and i'm a Liverpool fan, his record speaks for itself.

Pains me to say it, but Rooney >>> RVP.

As a forward aka a footballer

Aguero,Suarez,Rooney are ahead of Van Persie

btw rumours are Roy Keane will be new Leicester manager, might be worth a punt if the odds are alright

love the guy but i dont know why they're giving it to him, spends too much and delivers very little

O'Neill is the early favorite

/

Should be Lee Clark IMO

FORMER France star Tony Vairelles has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

French cops nabbed the eight-cap international following a nightclub shooting in the city of Nancy on Sunday.

Police say Vairelles, 38, was part of a mob who attacked bouncers after they were turfed out of the club at 3am.

They then returned to attack the bouncers with baseball bats — before one of the group opened fire, injuring three.

Five men were arrested on Sunday morning, with one later being released.

Vairelles — who starred with Lens, Lyon and local side AS Nancy — was remanded in custody and is due to appear in court on Tuesday.

RVP isnt' even a striker, if Arsenal weren't soo shit he wouldnt play there

done alright so far, but comparisons with people like Rooney and Suarez is a step too far imo

/

porchy would probs know, but he played some of his best stuff @ Feyenoord in that position just behind the front 2/3?

Porchy, by all means I'm with you when it comes to having players being footballers first, athletes second but the way you dismiss athleticism & specialist players i.e. poachers, dedicated ball-winners, etc isn't good.

And not sure if Suarez >>> RVP TBH.

What is good about watching a guy sprint past another a guy( I rather watch a 100m race)?

My second biggest pet hate in Football are guys who offer nada but goals then get called a world class footballer in the process

I fully understand these type of guys are needed in football so a team can function but FFS aleast have a little bit of touch, technique, vision to go with your athletic abilities and poaching/water carrying

/

My arguement for Suarez over RVP

Movement

Both footed(I know RVP has made a little improvement on his right)

Versatile

Work Rate

Dribbling

RVP is a number 10 but played out wide for Feyenoord due to PVH/JDT and also the guy plays in the wide positions for Oranje.

Your right if Arsenal had a finisher then Wenger would put RVP in his prefered role

Van Persie is the most technically proficient striker in the league, and his goalscoring record is better than Rooneys and Suarez over the last year so for me i'll put him ahead of them, but Suarez is a different type of forward anyways.

Van Persie=Aguero>>>>>>Suarez and Rooney.
