Went sheffield about 4 years ago and it was a laugh but I wouldn't go back. Too many other good places close by like Leeds and Nottingham to justify sheffs. That being said the birds aren't bad and always show love for out of towners.

Can't remember all the spots we hit but i would recommend viper rooms.

Sheff is good, bit like a chilled out leeds but no where near as farse so you should have no problems getting in anywhere.

 

Hit up division street for some good independant bars, theres west street that runs parallel with it which is a bit more rags with more pubby/chain bars, the revs at the end of division street is live, will be swarming with tings.

 

Viper rooms is alright just small, theres tank if you want a grimey house rave or fez club which normally has bigger house/techno names.

Viper Rooms - Surrounded by slosh with an atmosphere to match, definitely let down by the plethora of drunken sheffield twats doing the macarena around the place. Went to the place across the road, struggle to remember its name and was greeted with exactly the same strange mix. A tinder dalliance rescued the night, though the Hampton By Hilton looks like a hostel posted opposite a car wash so she wasn't too impressed.

 

Overall 5/10 and unlikely to return. Safe for the recommendations though. My boy dances in Diversity so just went up to catch the show and see what the nightlife was saying, in retrospect should have definitely made it to the Liverpool date rather than Sheffield.
