Nasri letting them shots off

Samir Nasri has aimed a swipe at his critics at former club Arsenal after winning the Premier League title in his first season at Manchester City.

The Frenchman was accused of being a mercenary after rejecting a new deal at Arsenalspacer.gif to join City in a £24million deal last summer.

The 24-year-old feels that his move to City has been vindicated after their title success and he has told his Arsenal snipers to 'celebrate their third place achievement', while he 'focuses on winning titles'.

Vindication

"People at Arsenal tried to make out that I came here for the money," Nasrispacer.gif told French TV stationTF1. "I hope they are watching me now collecting my Premier League winner's medal.

"I believe they have not won a trophy for many seasons now.

"If all that I was interested in was money, the easiest decision would have been to stay at Arsenal, picking up my money every week and walking into the team.

"I now hope the Arsenal fans can get on with their lives and forget me, they should celebrate their third-place achievement and I will focus on winning titles."

Samir NasriQuotes of the week

"There are many people doing this right now at Arsenal.

"I made the hard choice to come and fight for my place at a big club, where they never settle for second best, and I have proved it correct.

"I now hope the Arsenal fans can get on with their lives and forget me, they should celebrate their third-place achievement and I will focus on winning titles."

Boring

The guy is anything tbh

Seeing him at city he looks one of their most replaceable players along with the likes of lescott

Some guys are just happy to have accolades knowing history will overlook their minimal contribution to the sucess

ur chattin shit n ur bitter

People are acting like Nasri didn't contribute to the tittle win,

Yes he left due to more money being in the table but it wasn't the only reason, the main one was what happened on Sunday.

If Wigan offered him 200k a week he wouldn't of been booking train tickets there ASAP would he?

Time to move on Arsenal fans.

Correct, but you can't wash your hand of one, without dirting it with the other, and this is why he lives is another World and has no class.

Four players (Toure, Adebayor, Clichy & Nasri) have left Arsenal for City, add our ex-captain (Vieira), and the one that gets the most stick is Nasri and there are various factors, but he chooses to act like there are none. Granted Adebayor's stick increased after stamping on RvP, mocking the Arsenal fans in said game & then joining Tottenham on loan, kmt.

f*ck off you nonce

When a guy doesn't start the majority of te season there is a lot less pressure on his shoulders to be one of the main men to make things happen

If you know that you're only on the bench incase the XI out there can't win the games there is a lot less responsibility on your shoulders week in week out. Your role only comes into play once you're drawing 1-1 with Stoke with 10 mins left, whereas other guys are there to start games and win them.

Nasri is not there to be a great player hes there to win trophies playing with a great squad, otherwise he wouldn't have been so fast to join city.

nasri:

2011/12 Season Totals Starts: 46 • Sub: 9 Goals:7 Assists:11

his sub appearances averaged 30mins per game

and his starts average about 63 mins per game no doubt.

Don't get it twisted I think Nasri is a very good player, but like I said he's a c*nt that lives in a different world.

and I've always thought he's a sly snide c*nt, Cesc too, and Jack Wilshere is too. However they play/ed for Arsenal.

Fair dues, to call him anything is pure salt

And my anecdote wasn't particular to Nasri cos I've seen the stats. But in the end my point remains, he is not that guy

Henry and Fabregas carried us, both left to go Barca to win the CL an trophies respectively but Nasri simply jumped ship

In the latter stages of last season I was indifferent to nasri's performances, they were not the sort that would win a team titles on his own, hence he's at city where his performance has a smaller impact on the teams fortunes yet he will enjoy anyway
