Was in a band called the Jennifers just before, but he went Uni instead of joining  Supergrass were never on Oasis' level, no d/r but you're way off. Had a big hit but they weren't consistent with their hits. As someone posted, Oasis have a super certified catalogue of bangers. Noel is a ridiculous songwriter.  You might have been too young to appreciate, but 1994/5 Oasis were running things.
