Mate Nines rejected a few label offers years ago you don't know thats it. I'm sure hes had dealing and interviews with most Big uk/European labels.

 

Simply a case of timing, any a and r worth their salt, could get the biggest rapper in the uk a deal.

Linkup and SBTV are doing their jobs, these platforms are the reason why these artists are getting signed and getting label attention not some girl called caroline.

There is so much salt in your post. If what you are saying is so true, then everyone would be doing it and surely all those artists with million of views on linkup would have been tied down by now.

Why did no one else seize the so called easy opportunity like she did?

Some people just know how to push buttons in the game and are about their work.  The collaborations she has put together via new gen is pretty solid 

I am not descriting the link up and grm for their input but, when it comes to signing with the majors over here, the middle man/woman plays a significant role.

 millions of views != sales bare rappers have gone on to get millions of views and only to drop off 6 months later. what these labels want is someone is who is consistent and can sell and nines have been getting millions of views ever since that sbtv warmup session dropped. the guys is one of the very few rappers i can think of who has came into the scene with no cosign and has been able to maintain the same buzz, the aj'd out video was supposed to drop on linkuptv originally but they didnt want to shoot it. 

And the reason no one singed him before was because the uk rap game was dead for a while rappers who were signed getting dropped k koke benny banks even giggs was flopping there are bare rappers who signed all kind of deals this years even unknow random ones lol. uk rap is popping now and these labels want to reinvest in the scene, at the end of the day record deal = investment labels are not going to invest in someone that cannot make  them money.

To add to to my point, It just goes to show that these platforms are handicapped when it comes to artist management and profiting off record sales. 

In an Ideal scenario as big as we claim the scene is. the likes of Zino records £R should just need a distribution deal and peddled off that. Linkup have their situation with XL which is positive.

End of the day, we cant knock some broad in position who sees a clear cut opportunity in front of goal and takes it.
