17:47pm - Manchester United start their Barclays Under-21 Premier League campaign with a home fixture against Liverpool.

This is the first official match that is to be played at United’s new home location, Salford City Stadium.

The regular under-21s goalkeeper Sam Johnstone has been loaned to Yeovil Town so it is likely that Ben Amos will start in between the sticks this evening.

The main players from last season’s group, Michael Keane, Jesse Lingard and Adnan Januzaj are also likely to feature at some point.

18:32pm – The Manchester United Under 21s team news for Liverpool in Barclays Under-21 Premier League have just been released and is below:

Best player on the pitch though i think is 16 year old Jordan Rossiter, United can't touch him, his touch and passing selection for a 16 year old is out of this world, feel like Arsenal fabs when they were watching Fabregas coming through.

Our u21s brushed city 6-3 today. Team that played would finish comfortably in bottom half of prem tbh
