So Chelsea take delivery of top talent so they can figure out where to distribute it.

Some boss sh*t tbh lol.

f*cking up young players careers for no other reason than preventing your rivals from having them?

I'm not so sure I'd call that bossy, the sheer number of players they buy tells you that they don't have the intention of playing them.

I wouldnt say its as much the clubs fault as much it is the body that regulates the football.

FFP was brought in the protect the players/smaller clubs and is obviously failing to some extent

its UEFA that should be held accountable

I agree, the clubs are exploiting loopholes left open by the governing bodies.

It wouldn't surprise me if new restrictions are placed on clubs regarding loans but then again it wouldn't surprise me if Blatter did absolutely fuck all but take bribes and make dumb statements.

Those were players i could think of off the top. There is a ridicolous amount if i looked on wiki. Also most of those players made a bad decision going chelsea. Had they gon elsewhere they could have been better players. Of course you can say they won trophies like Mikel for example but had Mikel gone Utd he would have won trophies as well. Reckon he would have been a bigger name at Utd and a better player. Regardless obviously Mikel has played first team football for chelsea for a hot minute i doubt he would complain about his career. Chelsea isnt a good place for young attacking players they tend to get lost in the volumes. Swp would have had a better career had he gone spurs or arsenal. There is a case for most of them man

hold on. they have 25 players out on loan?

is there no squad limit at all? there should be a maximum of say 45 over 18 (or ineligible for under 18, since 18 can still play for the rest of the season they turn 18, I'm assuming?), including players out on loan.

something.

Michael Emenalo on having 26 players out on loan—"A reservoir of developing talent is needed".

But Emenalo has defended the club's loan policy, stating that it will be of benefit to the Blues in the future.

"The loan process at Chelsea has become very professional and a good deal of thought has gone into it," the former Enugu Rangers and Nigeria international defender told Chelsea's official website.

"We don't send players out because we are trying to recover some money, we send them because we want them to play and develop and we want to monitor them.

"We have a system in place, headed by me and with Eddie Newton supported by [head of player welfare] Kevin Campello, that means we keep a close eye on them and the manager knows exactly what is happening at all times."

Emenalo cited Omeruo as an example of the success of the loan system stating the it was during his loan spell at the Eredivisie, which he cemented his place as a full Nigeria international and became the high profile player he is today.

Oh, I see this approach of talking nonsense isn't restricted to Mourinho at Chelsea.

Every club has a model, the goal is ultimately always to get results for the first team.

All these clubs take punts, some of them have academy's overloaded with players, Chelsea model is definitely a on steroids version of this and it certainly doesn't say much for Chelsea's belief in their ability to nuture or scout players.

But if they can get results for the first-team eventually whats the difference?

That said Michael Emenalo has no first team results yet, and they have just signed a player for 20m that Arnesen had previously signed lol.

The fact you're even asking me this proves my point.

About 'became the high profile player he is today', he's been at Chelsea for two years, hasn't had a sniff of an appearance and is playing for Middlesborough ffs.

definitely not mikel sturridge or courtois

especially courtois

how many honours has mikel got - i bet hes not complaining

World Cup away from a full set of major honours.

4th highest capped foreign player likely to surpass Zola and Drogba but yeah he cries himself to sleep every night thinking about what could have been.

He was suppose to go on to be one of the best Centre mids in the world not be some high capped sideman.

If you don't think Chelsea ruined Mikels career, then you didn't watch Mikel before he made the move.

It's not hard to work out

When Kagawa plays in his natural position as a #10 with our attacks going through the middle he looks impressive and makes the team play better

When he's played out of position on the left wing in team that has gameplan that relies on crosses mainly from a right winger who doesn't know how to cross or beat a fullback on a regular basis he obviously doesn't look impressive.
