So Chelsea take delivery of top talent so they can figure out where to distribute it.

Some boss sh*t tbh lol.

Fucking up young players careers for no other reason than preventing your rivals from having them?

I'm not so sure I'd call that bossy, the sheer number of players they buy tells you that they don't have the intention of playing them.

nah im hurt

how can man say yeah ima take salah u keep moses

rodgers is jose's younger

It's not that at all, it's just that Chelsea have more money and are doing what they've been doing for years.

They've got 25 players out on loan and yet they're still buying players that don't strengthen their first 11, it's a joke in all honesty.

yeah i know that was kneejerk but i dont understand why the club was haggling over 3 or 4 million. 11million is dirt cheap for a winger with potential like salah. Ayre and co f*cked up again. 11mil would be f*ck all if we qualify for CL next season

Our negotiation approach is definitely a factor but Chelsea aren't content with just worrying about their own transfers any more, they've shown time and time again they see impacting other teams transfers as an extension of what happens on the pitch.

the number of players they've signed seemingly to prevent other clubs from getting them speaks for itself, as does their loan strategy and the way Mourinho openly spoke about them being extensions of his squad doing damage to rivals.

strong post & i couldn't agree more, been screaming that to my boys for time

cuntish but i admire the strategy

c/s if we had the money I would like us to stock up on talent too

I might be alone on this but I wouldn't want my club to be so worried about other clubs that we're buying talent we don't need and sacrificing their careers for the sake of stopping our rivals having them.

You've got enough money to make your team the best, let everyone else worry about you.

I'll use someone like Sidwell as an example, he was never, ever going to play at Chelsea but he would have potentially strengthened other clubs, you signed him anyway.

Scott Parker was another one in a similar boat, SWP was another that you didn't really need who would have strengthened your rivals significantly.

Career might be being too harsh but are you willing to sacrifice a young player's development for the sake of stopping your rivals having them? I'd say yes.

Look at the number of players you buy that just aren't going to play, what is the purpose of this other than stockpiling talent to prevent them going elsewhere and being able to control where they do go?

Of course it isn't but where does it end?

They've got 25 players out on loan, at what point do you say it's a joke, 40? 60? 70?

I wouldnt say its as much the clubs fault as much it is the body that regulates the football.

FFP was brought in the protect the players/smaller clubs and is obviously failing to some extent

its UEFA that should be held accountable

The players are definitely at fault as well but if Chelsea sell you the dream as a young man you're likely to start believing it.

Look at Atsu, he was playing regularly for Porto and when he became available reportedly had clubs like Spurs, Everton, Liverpool and Espanyol (confirmed) that were interested in signing him. Chelsea come in, gazump everyone, sign him and before he even gets given a locker he's out on loan at Vitesse.

It's just pointless.

definitely not mikel sturridge or courtois

especially courtois

how many honours has mikel got - i bet hes not complaining

World Cup away from a full set of major honours.

4th highest capped foreign player likely to surpass Zola and Drogba but yeah he cries himself to sleep every night thinking about what could have been.

You man are putting too much emphasis on Chelsea.

These young man aren't exactly stupid or thick are they? And they're not held at gunpoint or kidnapped.

You're in charge of your own destiny; if these man have a choice of being at a club likely to get first team football and strong career growth or a big club throwing money at you with a greedy agent wanting that big bonus. You chose that and no one else.

These so called 'young prospects' are as much to blame as the club; and do you really want a player at your club who's only after that P?

I've acknowledged the players are at fault as well but if one of the highest profile manager's in the world starts waxing lyrical about you then there's a very good chance you're going to believe it.

Case in point, Mourinho on Atsu

“I’ve followed his performance at FC Porto, my former club, and I believe he has what it takes to become great. He needs more games to toughen up for the Premiership, that’s why we decided to send him on loan to Vitesse where he can fight for more playing time before he returns.

There is a lot of competition for positions here and it only makes sense that we allow him to go to a club where he can get more playing time to continue his development,”

How many people here think that Atsu will get games for Chelsea next year? Bear in mind that we're talking about a player that in all likelihood will be playing at the World Cup this year.
